While we are going to release more exciting features for Premium subscribers, we will keep implementing free features available for everyone, and do it faster than any other massively popular app. This update is no exception β it adds join requests for public groups, an animated screen for external sharing, improved bot descriptions, and more. Just like WhatsApp, Telegram also allows you to share live location with your contacts. This is a very handy feature that I personally use on a regular basis. To share your live location with someone, first open the chat and tap on the attachment button. Now, tap on location. To do this, head over to Telegram settings and choose βFoldersβ. Here you can create as many folders as you want and add both personal chats as well as groups and channels to any of the folders. You can also order the folders you just created, but note that the default βAll chatsβ folder will always be the first one.
If you want to send big files, Telegram has much of the competition beat with support for up to 2GB files. Meanwhile, WhatsAppβs limit is a measly 100MB, WeChatβs limit is also 100MB, and Skypeβs limit is 300MB. Telegram files are also stored in the cloud, so you can access them from other devices. If youβre a particularly private person and troubled by news reports regarding online security and privacy breaches, you should absolutely consider using Telegram with secret chats enabled. You will have largely the same experience as with more popular messaging apps, with greater peace of mind. The Bot API is a free and open platform, available to everyone. If you're looking to build your own bot, check out this page. Use Multiple Telegram Accounts
The contributions of premium subscribers will help improve and expand the app for decades to come, while Telegram will remain free, independent and uphold its users-first values, redefining how a tech company should operate. To create a poll in a channel or group, simply select the βPollβ option in the attachment menu. Type in your question, add answer options and choose the configurations that fit your purpose best. To use it, go back to Settings > Chat Settings (Android) or Settings > Appearance (iOS). Select Auto-Night Mode to choose how it works. App Customizing Options and Themes
Use Hashtags to Organize Your Chats Letβs say you have enabled the βSlow Modeβ and set an interval of 1 minute. Now members in the group can only send one message per minute. A timer will show them how long they have to wait before sending the next message.
