Telegram is a great all-around messenger, especially when you start using its best features and know everything it's capable of. Telegram is a multi-platform messaging service founded by Russian entrepreneur Pavel Durov, although it was temporarily banned in Russia and has no affiliation with any government or company. It first rolled out on iOS and Android in late 2013, and now has an estimated 550 million monthly users. Telegram’s user base tends to increase whenever a privacy scandal hits one of its larger competitors. To get going, open the Telegram app on your device. Then, head over to a chat and tap on the name of the chat at the top.

The Saved Messages space can then be accessed across you’re your phone, laptop and any other device where your account is logged in. To start a Secret Chat, you can either tap on the option in the hamburger menu and select a contact to start the chat. Alternatively, you can go to an existing chat, tap on the top bar for the user’s information and scroll down to find the “Start Secret Chat” option at the very bottom of the page. Once you tap on the option, the other person will have to accept your invitation to initiate the Secret Chat. Disabled: Turn off automatic night mode and always use the chosen theme.
