While you can send uncompressed media in other messaging apps, you have to convert it in another format like EXE or PDF. Sometimes you don’t want to leave any evidence of what nonsense you are about to say. Instead of deleting chats manually, you can use self destruct messages on secret chats by setting a timer. Now tap on Notifications and mute the contact for either a custom period of time or forever. I generally leave it for forever. You don’t need a separate image/video editor to make your photos/videos more compelling. You can do it right in the telegram app using its intuitive interface. To edit photos/videos, click on the “attach file” and select a file from the gallery, or capture a new one from the camera. One of the worst parts about messaging apps is that anyone can add you to random groups without your active permission. However, the good part is that Telegram gives you an option to disable it altogether. You can change the desired settings from Settings menu -> Privacy and Security -> Groups -> My Contacts and then select all the Telegram users to “Never Allow”.
