Because Telegram lets you interact with people even if you aren't in each other's contacts, you may wish to make your account more private. To change privacy options, head to Settings > Privacy and Security. Here, you can change who can see your phone number, active status, and more. Telegram bots are nothing but regular telegram accounts, which can be coded and used to add more features to enhance user experience. You can find these bots from the top search bar on the homepage. For example, To mute a chat in Telegram, head over to the chat in question. Next, tap the name at the top and then hit the mute button.
To change your default folder, press and hold a folder in your chat list > Reorder > and drag your preferred folder to the first space. To use this feature, head over to the hamburger menu by swiping right and choose Contacts. Choose βFind People Nearbyβ and here you will see a list of contacts who have chosen to be visible. You can also scroll down to see all nearby groups and the option to create your own. Users who wish to be discovered by this feature can turn it on in the hamburger menu/People Nearby/Make myself visible. To save a message from elsewhere in Telegram, tap it, choose Forward, and select Saved Messages to add it instantly.
