Telegram Premium users will now be able to add animated emoji status on the app. This custom status will replace the Premium Premium Badge in the chat list, in profile and in groups. Premium users will be able to choose from the seven standard statuses that change their color to match different Telegram themes – or choose from an infinite number of custom emoji. To preview a chat, simply press and hold its profile picture in your chat list. Sharing your location lets others keep an eye on your progress to a destination or help look out for your safety. In Telegram, open a chat, tap the paper clip button, and choose Location to share it.

Popularity breeds popularity, and trying to dethrone WhatsApp is an uphill battle for Telegram. However, with new Telegram updates, they provide two-step verification for your telegram account.
