Telegram Live Locations and proximity alters (Express Photo) Since an update in 2019, Telegram has allowed users to delete messages sent by other users, across all devices. Choose the location button here, and choose ‘Share my Live Location’. You will be able to send live locations for either 15 minutes, 1 hour or 8 hours. While normal chats in Telegram are user-to-server encrypted and cannot be read unless someone breaches Telegram’s servers, Secret Chats take it to a new level by providing user-to-user encryption. These chats are meant to be short-lived and not stored on Telegram’s servers. Now tap on Notifications and mute the contact for either a custom period of time or forever. I generally leave it for forever.

For maximum privacy, you can create secret chats that use end-to-end encryption. These aren't stored on Telegram's servers, so you can only access them with your specific phone. If one party deletes a message, it disappears on both devices. And you can specify a self-destruct period for all media if you like. Try Secret Telegram Chats Sometimes you don’t want to leave any evidence of what nonsense you are about to say. Instead of deleting chats manually, you can use self destruct messages on secret chats by setting a timer. To do this, choose the items you want to send and tap on the three-dot menu. Now select “send without compression”, and you are good to go.
