Press and hold an emoji to set a status for a specific duration. Telegram also has an auto-night mode that you can use to save your eyes at night!

To upload new profile images, open Settings. On Android, tap on the camera icon at the top-right. On iPhone, tap the Edit button and choose Set New Photo or Video. To mute a chat in Telegram, head over to the chat in question. Next, tap the name at the top and then hit the mute button.
