In Telegram, you can use hashtags in your Channels and Groups. When you use a hashtag in a message, that word becomes clickable. And, channel or group users able to click the hashtag to get instant search results from their Telegram messages. All your normal chat media will be saved in your cloud storage. But, secret chats are not a part of the Telegram cloud. To lock a chat go to Settings->Privacy and Security->Passcode Lock and enable it. This way, you can check it on your own terms instead of getting a ping for every new message. Here, Telegram will give you some information about what happens when you change your number. Basically, all your messages will be moved to the new number and your new number will be automatically added to all your existing Telegram contacts, barring the blocked contacts. Telegram has a personal ‘Saved Messages’ space for each user. This is accessible from the left hamburger menu on the main screen.
