Following the phone call between Trump and Putin, Trump published a statement saying that the call was "productive", and that great progress was made. He also provided some details on what was spoken about, and what will happen next.
He stated that him and Putin discussed post-war trade between the U.S. and Russia, and that they both agreed to let their high-level advisors, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, meet next week.
Trump and Putin will later meet in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, where they will discuss ways to end the war in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Trump and Zelensky will be meeting in the Oval Office tomorrow to discuss today's conversation with Putin, among other topics.
