My friend grew up in New England where they have pigeons. Apparently they also hate them. He was always saying bad things about pigeons until I pointed something out that he never thought of before.

We domesticated pigeons. They are (nearly) all over the world because HUMANS BROUGHT THEM THERE. And, they were more than pets. They carried messages. People raced them. They lived spoiled lives as honored human companions for centuries.

Then we got telephones and we threw them out like trash.

Literally, we threw them away.

Their species had already been fully domesticated and they could not survive in the wild; they lost all their survival instincts during the centuries that they lived caged by people.

That is why they live in cities with people instead of in a forest somewhere. It's OUR fault. And not only did we throw them away, but now humans curse them as "winged rats;" casting them as pests.

An encounter with Will O’ The Wisp?

Last summer I went camping in Sherwood Forest with some friends. We didn’t camp in the public part of the forest, instead heading to a private section where we knew we’d not be bothered. I’m going to keep the full story for a video I’m making at the moment, but these flickering lights were right next to us before leading us away through the forest as they retreated backwards. This makes me think what we saw were Wisps. The atmospheric ghostly lights that lure travellers off the beaten track. And we were being led far from our camp, almost without thinking about it.

I took this picture, capturing one of them. I took a video too in which you can see it flickering like a flame, which I’ll add in my video.

It’s my belief that creatures from our folklore didn’t just vanish, but remain in certain remote parts of Britain.
This channel will be taking a hiatus in the coming weeks. The sole admin of the channel needs to take care of more important stuff and the internet takes some of his already short daily time. Thanks for staying.

BEHOLD the unfathomably beautiful statue of #Thalia (Ancient Greek), the daughter of #Zeus & #Mnemosyne (8th of 9 Muses). This #Roman, 2nd century piece shames modern sculpting & architecture. This sculpture was clearly showing off! 👏
