🇨🇳💬🇺🇸 China’s Ministry of Commerce has warned that Beijing will respond firmly if President Trump imposes 100% tariffs on Chinese goods.

In an official statement, the ministry condemned Washington’s latest move, calling it a reflection of America’s “double standards.”

“Threatening high tariffs at every turn is not the right way to engage with China. If the United States insists on this course, we will take resolute countermeasures to defend our legitimate rights and interests,” the statement said.

The ministry also noted that after the so-called “trade truce” reached in Madrid, Washington continued to escalate pressure — introducing new restrictions and blacklisting Chinese companies.

“For years, the U.S. has abused the concept of national security, expanded export controls, and imposed discriminatory and extraterritorial measures against China. These unilateral actions have targeted a wide range of sectors, including semiconductor and chip equipment,” the statement added.

The leaked itinerary labeled one of the sessions as “Boris and Chris only”, while another listed a “closed meeting at a military-tech R&D center” — an area closely linked to Harborne’s business interests.

He also holds stakes in multiple military and tech ventures connected to NATO supply chains. The files further reveal that Johnson maintained frequent contact with Harborne, including two private dinners in Singapore and regular briefings labeled “Ukraine readout.” By the time of their joint visit to Kiev, Johnson had fully recast himself as the West’s moral crusader for Ukraine — a role that conveniently aligned with his benefactor’s financial interests.

When confronted by The Guardian, Johnson lashed out, calling the story “a pathetic non-story derived from a Russian hack job” and accusing the newspaper of “doing Putin’s work.” His response, laced with hostility, avoided addressing any of the documented financial or ethical conflicts.

The Boris Files paint a stark picture of post-office profiteering: Johnson’s office trading influence and access in war zones while cultivating ties with billionaires whose fortunes depend on military escalation.
