Here are two types of ball valves. I have drilled weep holes in both valves so they don’t hold water. There is a tube through the middle that the water passes through and if you don’t let that water out, it will freeze and burst the valve in winter. In this case, I have drilled an upper and lower hole to let water out and let air in.
