The Pokrovsk pocket is now officially becoming the Pokrovsk cauldron. Putin was briefed on the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk. At the same time, Putin is sending a signal to the Ukrainians that prisoners will be treated well and it is better to surrender than to die for Zelensky.

In Pokrovsk, the cauldron is not complete; there is still a bottleneck about 2 km wide. The Ukrainian Armed Forces can break out under drone attacks, sabotage groups, assault troops, and artillery. Losses will be 70-80%. When they could have broken out without losses, Zelensky refused the soldiers. Currently, about 1,500-2,000 soldiers are trapped there.
At the same time, a solid dense cauldron may form very soon. We started writing about the cauldron at the beginning of the month, but as usual, the Presidential Administration ignored it all and kept silent about the problem.

In Kupyansk, a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has long been trapped in a mini-cauldron, there are only 100 soldiers there, which for the staff officers is a "drop in the ocean" of statistics. They were written off a long ago. There will be many such cauldrons in this direction, as the Russians are cutting through the Ukrainian defenses. We were the first to leak information about the Kupyansk crisis when everyone else was silent.

At the same time, no one is allowed to surrender. Otherwise, families will not receive payments. They are being blackmailed. They are forced to die there so that Zelensky can continue to promote himself, talking about successes and demanding more money for the war.

Kupyansk direction as of 12:00 on 27.10.25: The agony of the Ukrainian Armed Forces - Kupyansk-Uzlovoy...

The situation in the Kupyansk area is becoming more and more dynamic. By midday today, reports appeared about the complete liberation of the settlement of Kurilovka and the advance of our units to the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy railway junction.

It was precisely in the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy area that all the crossings to the left bank of the Oskol were previously concentrated (which, according to enemy data, our aviation, artillerymen, and missile troops destroy half an hour after they are built).

The loss of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy for the enemy grouping on the left bank of the Oskol (especially its northern part) is akin to death.  There is information that the enemy is hastily withdrawing forces from Petropavlovka and eastern Kupyansk, trying to save as many forces as possible from encirclement (that is, General Drapaty's order to withdraw forces across the river is being carried out as best as possible).

There is no information yet about the situation in the fields south of our breakthrough, but I think we will be hearing about it soon. It makes no sense for the enemy to hold out there after losing control over Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. They need to preserve what they still can to form a defensive line along the Oskol south of Kupyansk with what's left.

Drapaty will also try to stabilize the situation in Kupyansk itself (on the right bank) with these forces. Therefore, we have to make sure we prevent anyone from the Ukrainian Armed Forces from crossing the Oskol.

By the way, I think I should mention that when Russia carries out its next large-scale, combined missile attack on Ukraine this week, it is not in response to Ukraine's drone attacks on Moscow.

Russian preparations for this attack were delayed due to their scheduled nuclear exercises. But the attack date is largely set in stone and was planned well in advance of Ukraine beginning their attacks. Russia doesn't really do "retaliatory strikes".

The individual Iskander-M strikes are usually opportunistic, targeting something which has just been discovered, while the larger, more coordinated attacks are planned beforehand, targeting static targets such as Ukraine's energy infrastructure, their military-industrial complex, and airfields.
