📌State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI) 2024

Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE- Ministry of Power), released the State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI) 2024 in
collaboration with the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE).

States are classified into four performance categories: Front Runners (>60%), Achievers (50-60%), Contenders (30-50%), and Aspirants (<30%).

Front Runner States: Reduced from seven in 2023 to five in 2024: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra,
Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.
• Achievers: Assam and Kerala
• Contenders: Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Uttar Pradesh.

Land Breeze – The name says it all. The wind that blows from the land is called a land breeze or an Offshore breeze. This type of breeze normally occurs during the night and early morning.

Sea Breeze - a local wind system characterized by a flow from sea to land during the day

Valley winds - During the day, the sun warms the air along the mountain slopes. This warm air rises up the mountain slopes, creating a valley breeze

Katabatic winds - During and after sunset, particularly on a clear day/night, air at and near the top of elevated land surfaces, particularly over snow-covered surfaces, cools relatively quicker than air at lower altitudes. As air cools it becomes denser and therefore heavier. The cold air then flows down the side of the mountain, resulting in a katabatic flow

लैंड ब्रीज़ – नाम ही सब कुछ कहता है। जो हवा जमीन से चलती है उसे लैंड ब्रीज़ या ऑफशोर ब्रीज़ कहा जाता है। यह प्रकार की हवा आमतौर पर रात और सुबह जल्दी होती है।

सी ब्रीज़ - एक स्थानीय हवा प्रणाली जो दिन के दौरान समुद्र से जमीन की ओर बहती है

वैली विंड्स - दिन के दौरान, सूरज पहाड़ की ढलानों के साथ हवा को गर्म करता है। यह गर्म हवा पहाड़ की ढलानों के ऊपर उठती है, जिससे वैली ब्रीज़ बनती है

काटाबैटिक विंड्स - सूर्यास्त के दौरान और बाद में, विशेष रूप से साफ दिन/रात में, ऊंचे भूमि सतहों के शीर्ष के पास की हवा, विशेष रूप से बर्फ से ढकी सतहों पर, निचली ऊंचाई की हवा की तुलना में तेजी से ठंडी होती है। जब हवा ठंडी होती है तो वह घनी और भारी हो जाती है। ठंडी हवा फिर पहाड़ की तरफ नीचे बहती है, जिससे काटाबैटिक फ्लो होता है।
