The dwarf planet haumea, which orbits in the kuiper belt out beyond Neptune, is already unusual. It has a strange elongated shape, two moons and a day that lasts only 4 hrs, making it the fastest spinning large object in the solar system. But in 2017 haumea got even weirder when astronomers watched it pass infront of a star and noticed extremely thin rings orbiting around it ,likely the result of a collision sometime in a distant past.
Orbits are the result of a perfect balance between the forward motion of a body in space, such as a planet or moon, and the pull of gravity on it from another body in space, such as a large planet or star. These forces of inertia and gravity have to be perfectly balanced for an orbit to happen.
Every second, the Sun converts about 700 million tons of hydrogen to 695 million tons of helium and 386 billion billion megawatts of energy (see also e=mc2 fact). It's been doing this for about 4.5 billion years and will keep going for another 5 billion years before growing to a red giant and gobbling up the Earth.

The length of any object in a moving frame will appear foreshortened in the direction of motion, or contracted. The amount of contraction can be calculated from the Lorentz transformation. The length is maximum in the frame in which the object is at rest.

What would happen if a nuclear bomb was detonated in space?

When a nuclear bomb explodes on Earth, the huge release of radiation triggers the rapid expansion of air around it, causing the intense blast wave that wreaks so much destruction.

In the vacuum of space, the lack of air means the principal destructive effects come not from the blast, but instead from the particles and radiation pouring out of the bomb, which dump their energy as heat on striking the target.

If you go to outer space (without a spacesuit), you could swell up to twice your normal size.

Due to low pressure, the boiling point of your bodily fluids decreases below your body's normal temperature, which is about 37 degrees celsius. This means your fluids will start to form gas bubbles and you will swell up – but you won't explode, because human skin is super stretchy.
All particles have energy, and the energy varies depending on the temperature the sample of matter is in, which determines if the substance is a solid, liquid, or gas. Solid particles have the least amount of energy, and gas particles have the greatest amount of energy.

New research indicates that Venus is still geologically active. The analysis of surface data shows evidence of tectonic movement that have pushed against each other.

The new research published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences states that these tectonic movements are not seen anywhere else in our Solar System except on Earth's interior.

The launch of the earth observation satellite EOS-03 aboard ISRO's heavy launch vehicle GSLV was unsuccessful, with the third stage of the engine not igniting.

β€œGSLV-F10 launch took place today at 0543 Hrs IST as scheduled. Performance of first and second stages was normal. However, Cryogenic Upper Stage ignition did not happen due to technical anomaly. The mission couldn’t be accomplished as intended,” said a statement from the Indian Space Research Organisation

The space agency’s Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle hasn’t been as successful as its workhorse PSLV – three of the fourteen missions to date failed to reach orbit

India's ambitious Chandrayaan-2 moon mission may have made a hard landing on the lunar surface in 2019, but the orbiter accompanying it has been providing useful information to scientists back on Earth.

Earlier this week, a research paper revealed that the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter confirmed the presence of water molecules (H2O) and hydroxyl (OH) on the surface of the moon.

What if you travel at the speed of light?

πŸ‘‰ According to General Relativity, we can never travel at the speed of light but let's take a hypothetical journey at the speed of light anyway.

πŸ‘‰ When you travel at the speed of light, time would completely freeze for you because of the velocity time dilation.

πŸ‘‰ At the speed of light your mass and kinetic energy would be infinite.

πŸ‘‰ Having at the speed of light would also enable you to see the length of the rest of the universe contract. And the Earth would also appear flat to you!

General Relativity Proofs

General relativity has been confirmed many times, the classic experiments being the perihelion precession of Mercury's orbit, the deflection of light by the Sun, and the gravitational redshift of light. Other tests confirmed the equivalence principle and frame dragging.

Perpetual motion:-

The action of a device that, once set in motion, would continue in motion forever, with no additional energy required to maintain it. Such devices are impossible on grounds stated by the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
