BREAKING: Clubs, Restaurants, Cinemas and other non-essential gatherings to be shut down nation-wide starting tomorrow.

Pubs, clubs, restaurants, cinemas and indoor sporting venues across the country will shut down indefinitely starting on Monday, according to recent statements by the Prime Minister. This comes after previous restrictions on large gatherings fell on deaf ears, with thousands of people ignoring them and visiting tourist hotspots like Bondi Beach.

“We don’t now have any confidence that people would refrain from gathering in those ways, in those pubs, clubs and nightclubs,” Mr Morrison said at a press conference in Canberra.

“We have no confidence that will be followed. So unfortunately, because guidelines can’t be followed, then for public health reasons we now need to take further action which shuts those gatherings down.”

Well I didn’t think they’d actually do it but the whole country it’s being shut down, which till tank the economy within a couple of weeks.

A thousand people in Australia have a flu-like virus and the whole country shuts down.

Something tells me this isn’t really about the virus.
🇦🇺Queensland Election: One Nation tanks, Labor almost certainly victorious.

Todays election in Queensland doesn't appear to be good news for Pauline Hanson's One Nation. While the results are not yet fully counted so far One Nation has won 8.3% - down from 13.7% in 2017. This even more shocking when you remember that they once won 22% of the Queensland vote and that the state is considered a One Nation stronghold.

Labor meanwhile have surged to 38%, up nearly 5% since the last election. They currently have 47 seats, which is the amount you need for a majoirty.

The Greens have also won a new seat - South Brisbane - from Labor, giving them 2 seats out of the 93 seat parliament.
6 seats are still up for grabs, so that single seat majority could quickly balloon - or shrink
🇦🇺QUEENSLAND ELECTON UPDATE: Labor has more or less won.

left-wing Labor appears to have won an unconfirmed 51 seats, higher then the 47 needed for a majority. While only 55% of the vote has been counted - it's more or less unavoidable that Labor will re-entre government with a majority.

In other news right-wing One Nation is continuing to implode - going from 8.3% to 7.5% since my last update - while the left-wing Greens are on TV and social media claiming that because they won *2* whole seats Australia is experiencing a "Green Wave". They only won South Brisbane as a protest vote against the corrupt incumbent and will more then likely lose it next election.
BREAKING: Deb Frecklington, leader of the Queensland Liberal Nationals and opposition candidate has conceded defeat to Labor
🇦🇺Final Breakdown of the Queensland election results:

1️⃣This election has been a major coup for the left-wing Labor Party. Only a few months ago the centre-right Liberals were polling upwards of 5-6% over Labor - now however, Labor have won with a 5% lead over the Liberals.

2️⃣Labor have won atleast 50 seats, compared to the Liberals 31 - This election has above all destroyed any remainder of the aura of invincibility that surrounded the Liberals after their shocking victory in the 2019 Federal election.

3️⃣The minor right-wing parties also did very poorly. Pauline Hanson's One Nation currently sits at 6.9% which is far below the 13.75% they got in 2017. Their only saving grace is that they re-elected their only MP in the Queensland Parliament - saving them from total humiliation. Another minor right-wing party - Katter's Australian Party - relected their 3 MPs but failed to increase their total votes compared to last election. Overall, the combined vote for all right-wing parties was just above 10%, gaining them a single seat.

4️⃣And finally, the
Green Party also increased their seats, from 1 to 2. A minor victory to be sure but still bad news for all right-leaning Australians.

🇦🇺"Conservative" Prime Minister Scott Morrison changes Australian national anthem in order to appease leftists and Aboriginals.

PM Morrison announced yesterday that the wording of the second line of our national anthem would be changed from "for we are young and free" to "for we are one and free". This change has been done in order to "recognise" Aboriginal history and the fact that Aboriginals were here for 60,000 years before the British arrived.

This change was foisted upon the Australian with no public debate, no forewarning and no democratic say.

Ironically enough, despite this being done in order to appease Aboriginal activists and their lefty allies - many leftists have complained openly on twitter and elsewhere that this change doesn't go nearly far enough to "correct" the "wrongs" supposedly committed against Aboriginals.
🇦🇺Today is important for another reason however.

Today marks the 120th anniversary of the Federation of the six British colonies in Australia into the independent Commonwealth of Australia.

It took years of struggle for the Australian Nationalist groups of the time, such as the Australian Natives Association and Labor Movement, to eventually succeed in their goal of a united Australia after decades of fighting and several public referendums.

On this day 120 years ago, Australia was formed as a free independent white nation with a strong identity with cultural and economic ties to the British Empire. Australians lived free from the problems of the old world as the possibilities of prosperity looked endless. Today Australia has become little more than a depository for world capitalism and it's founding people have been left out of the picture. Our "Action" will be to place the people back in the picture; not as a small detail or feature but as the entire focus of our country. As Australia’s demographic decline continues and our culture and way of life becomes ever more threatened by liberal capitalism and the soul crushing ideology that is Marxism, it is up to us to take action; for if we don't take an active stance against these forces Australia and those who created her will become another forgotten page of history.

Australian Action is now live, and we will not give up untill our hearts do, get involved today: https://www.australianaction.org
🇦🇺Today marks the 76th anniversary of the beginning of the second batch of Sandakan death marches organized by the Japanese Empire from Sandakan to Ranau. Of the 2,500 Australian and British prisoners of war, only six Australians survived this Japanese atrocity.

Ford Australia was the first company to produce a coupé utility as a result of a 1932 letter from the wife of a farmer in Victoria, Australia, asking for "a vehicle to go to church in on a Sunday and which can carry our pigs to market on Mondays".

Ford designer Lew Bandt developed a suitable solution, and the first coupé utility model was released in 1934.

Bandt went on to manage Ford's Advanced Design Department, being responsible for the body engineering of the XP, XT, XW, and XA series Ford Falcon utilities.
🇦🇺Interesting recent polling on party support by age shows One Nation's support strongest in 18-34 age cohort

Traditionally, Australia's largest right-wing party's supporter base has been viewed as far older then any other political party. However, recent polling - while showing that One Nation only has a miniscule 3% of the vote - actually has the support of 8% of 18-34 year olds.

While I'm not a shill for One Nation, almost 1 in 10 young adults voting for a right-wing nationalist party - no matter how incompetent said party may be - is a good sign regardless. This is especially true when considering that more 18-34 years olds support the party as a percentage then the general population.
