Even If He Remains Seated

The Qur’aan permitted polygyny for several wise reasons:
Shaykh Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Shinqiti, رحمه الله , explained the wisdom behind polygyny in his commentary on the verse:
{إن هذا القرآن يهدي للتي هي أقوم }
{Indeed, this Qur’aan guides to that which is most upright}
The Qur’aan permitted polygyny for several wise reasons:
For the benefit of the woman: so she would not be deprived of marriage.
For the benefit of the man: so his needs would not be hindered if his wife faced circumstances preventing her from fulfilling them.
For the benefit of the entire ummah: so its population would increase, enabling it to resist its enemies and uphold the Word of Allaah as supreme.
It is a wise and knowledgeable legislation, and none objects to it except those whose hearts have been blinded by the darkness of disbelief.

Noble Manners
1. Virtues of Noble Manners
Abu Umamah رضي الله عنه narrated : The Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وسلم said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids argument even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good. Abu Dawood 4800 transmitted it and Shaykh Al-Albani declare it hasan.

Politics is not for the general public
It is not for the general public to busy their tongues with the politics of the rulers.
Politics has its people, and cooking pots and pans have their people.
If politics were to become the talk of the general public, affairs would become corrupted, because the common person has neither knowledge nor sound thinking.
His mind and intellect do not go beyond his own feet.
This is indicated by the saying of Allaah the Exalted:
{ وَإِذَا جَاۤءَهُمۡ أَمۡرࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡنِ أَوِ ٱلۡخَوۡفِ أَذَاعُوا۟ بِهِۦۖ وَلَوۡ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى ٱلرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰۤ أُو۟لِی ٱلۡأَمۡرِ مِنۡهُمۡ لَعَلِمَهُ ٱلَّذِینَ یَسۡتَنۢبِطُونَهُۥ مِنۡهُمۡۗ }
[Surah An-Nisāʾ: 83]
“When there comes to them a matter concerning security or fear, they spread it. But if they had referred it to the Messenger and to those in authority among them, those who can draw correct conclusions from it would have known it.” [Surah an-Nisa: 83]
This shows that the general public is not like the people of authority, nor like those with insight, wisdom, and sound consultation.
So speaking about politics in public gatherings is not appropriate.
Whoever wants the general public to share with the rulers in politics, opinions, and ideas has gone far astray and has deviated from the guidance of the Companions, the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the pious predecessors of the Ummah.

The Sweetness of Knowledge
Al-Mu'allimī Al-Yamānī رحمه الله said:
Two things are more delightful than marrying a virgin maiden,
Sweeter than drinking pure, clear water, Greater than the ranks of kings adorned in silk
Embroidered with gold threads (they are):
The black notebooks, to be their companion forever,
And the cool shade of the masjid.

Nobility Increases and Slaves are Elevated
Abu Al-‘Aliyah (Rafi‘ Ibnu Mihran) said:
“I used to stay close to Ibnu ‘Abbas رضي الله عنهما, and he would seat me on the couch. The Quraysh would wink at each other because of me while they sat below the couch, saying: ‘He seats this freed slave on the couch!’
Ibnu ‘Abbas realized what they were doing and said:
‘Indeed, this knowledge increases the noble in nobility and seats the freed slave upon the couches.’

A Heroic Story Stranger than Fiction!
The Maldives is a Muslim country located in the Indian Ocean. It consists of about 1,190 small islands, of which only 200 are inhabited. Its capital is Malé. The Maldives was a British protectorate until it gained independence in 1965. The population is about 309,000, all of whom are Muslim.
It is a republic where the president is appointed by parliament, and only Muslims are allowed to vote. Its constitution requires that all citizens must be Muslim; anyone wishing to become a citizen must embrace Islaam.
No non-Muslim can hold citizenship, and the constitution also declares that the principles of the republic are based on Islamic principles.
The Maldivian people are religious, love Islam, and are keen to uphold Islamic morals.
Islamic etiquette is evident everywhere: hijab is widespread, people respect the call to prayer, mosques are full, restaurants close during the day in Ramadan, public eating during fasting hours is prohibited, and there is a Supreme Council overseeing the proper implementation of Islamic law in all courts.
The president of the country delivers the Friday sermon, leads the prayers, and gives religious advice and guidance during religious and social occasions.
He also delivers lessons and advice through radio and television, teaches some religious subjects at the College of Islamic Studies, and has been publishing a weekly religious newspaper called Sabeel al-Deen for 18 years.
Most government officials in the Maldives are graduates of Islamic universities, including the Minister of Hajj. Illiteracy is extremely low at just 2%. Even though Arabic is not the official language, everyone can read the Qur’aan due to the widespread Qur’aan schools.
Tourism is the country’s second source of income after fishing. Yet tourism there is a model of decency and adherence to Islamic principles: no alcohol is served to tourists, they must respect the country’s Islamic laws, there is no indecency or violation of public morals.
Tourists are restricted to 84 separate islands designated for tourism and cannot visit inhabited Muslim islands unless they adhere to Islamic etiquette. Public eating during Ramadan is strictly forbidden for everyone, including visitors.
Despite these strict laws, tourism has flourished, with more than eight million tourists visiting in 2007 - a huge number compared to the population of just 300,000.
Now to the story of how Islam entered the Maldives - a tale so extraordinary it seems like legend! The famous traveler Ibnu Battuta documented it in his book The Gift to Those Who Contemplate the Wonders of Cities and the Marvels of Traveling (Tuhfat An-Nuzzar fi Ghara’ib Al-Amsar wa ‘Aja’ib Al-Asfar).
The story is also engraved on a mural next to the Grand Mosque in Malé.
Islaam entered the islands in the early 6th century AH (1153 CE) when a young Muslim man from North Africa, a memorizer of the Qur’aan named Abu Al-Barakat Yusuf Al-Barbari, arrived on their shores.
It is said his ship wrecked near one of the islands, and the waves carried him to shore, where a fisherman and his family nursed him back to health and hosted him in their home. He learned the local language.
One day, he saw the fisherman and his wife weeping bitterly. They told him their daughter had been chosen by lottery to be sacrificed to a sea monster that the islanders believed required a girl every month; they would leave her on the shore at night, and the creature would take her, sparing the village for the rest of the month.
Abu Al-Barakat decided to go in place of the girl. He reassured the fisherman’s family and took the girl’s spot on the shore.
Throughout the night, he recited the Qur’aan, and whenever the monster approached, it would retreat upon hearing the verses.
He did this for three nights. On the fourth night, the monster never returned, and the village was finally rid of it.
When the king, named Maha Kalaminja, heard about this young man, he summoned him.

Abu Al-Barakat recited the Qur’aan for him, explained Islaam, and invited him to the faith. The king embraced Islaam, changed his name to Muhammad Ibnu Abdullah, and all the inhabitants followed him in becoming Muslim.
Abu Al-Barakat remained on the islands, teaching the Qur’aan, fiqh, and other Islamic sciences until his death. His grave is still known today, and a mosque was built beside it.
SubḥānAllāh - one man, whom Allaah honored, became the means for an entire nation to enter Islaam!
O Allaah, the Most Generous and the Most Merciful, grant us a share in serving and supporting Your religion, O Magnificent One.

Why will people flee from them?
“On the Day when a man will flee from his brother (34), his mother and his father (35), his wife and his children”
[Surat ‘Abasa: 34-36]
The scholars said: He will flee from them so that they do not demand from him what he neglected of their rights — in terms of good conduct and otherwise — because on that Day, everyone will hate for anyone to have any claim over them.

conceals himself with the covering of Allaah
Shaykh Muhammad Ibnu Saalih Al-Uthaymīn رحمه الله was asked
Question:
I am a young man who appears outwardly committed (to Islaam) and I have memorized most of the Qur’aan, but I hide some sins. Does this count as hypocrisy?
Answer:
This is not considered hypocrisy, as long as a person conceals himself with the covering of Allaah, because he fears Allah and recognizes his sin while believing in Him. No one is more gentle or more merciful to you than Allah. Make sure you repent to Allah with sincere repentance.

uncovering her breast in front of her mahrams could lead to temptation.
Answered by Shaykh Ibnu Uthaymīn
Question:
Many women here are accustomed to letting their mahram - like the father, brother, or uncle - see the woman’s breast while she is breastfeeding her child. Is this permissible?
Is there any scholarly difference of opinion on this issue? Please clarify with evidence.
Answer:
The ruling for a woman with her mahrams is the same as the ruling for a woman with other women, based on the verse:
{ وَقُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ یَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ أَبۡصَـٰرِهِنَّ وَیَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا یُبۡدِینَ زِینَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَاۖ وَلۡیَضۡرِبۡنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُیُوبِهِنَّۖ وَلَا یُبۡدِینَ زِینَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوۡ ءَابَاۤىِٕهِنَّ أَوۡ ءَابَاۤءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوۡ أَبۡنَاۤىِٕهِنَّ أَوۡ أَبۡنَاۤءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوۡ إِخۡوَ ٰنِهِنَّ أَوۡ بَنِیۤ إِخۡوَ ٰنِهِنَّ أَوۡ بَنِیۤ أَخَوَ ٰتِهِنَّ أَوۡ نِسَاۤىِٕهِنَّ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَیۡمَـٰنُهُنَّ أَوِ ٱلتَّـٰبِعِینَ غَیۡرِ أُو۟لِی ٱلۡإِرۡبَةِ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱلطِّفۡلِ ٱلَّذِینَ لَمۡ یَظۡهَرُوا۟ عَلَىٰ عَوۡرَ ٰتِ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِۖ }
[Surah An-Nūr: 31]
“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their chastity and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to draw their veils over their bosoms and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, those their right hands possess, male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women.”
(Sūrat al-Nūr 24:31)
However, it is not appropriate for a woman to uncover her breast while breastfeeding if there are men around, except perhaps in cases like when the man present is her father, or she is elderly and only her son is there.
This is because uncovering her breast in front of her mahrams could lead to temptation. The soul inclines toward evil, and Shaytan runs through the human being like blood flows through veins.
Therefore, if she needs to breastfeed while her mahrams are present, she should cover her breast with part of her clothing so that none of the men can see it.

Milestones for Children in Islaam (By the Hijrī Calendar)
In Islaam, a child’s upbringing is tied to the Hijrī calendar, not the Gregorian. Just as Ramadān, Hajj, and ʿEid depend on the lunar months, so does a child’s milestones.
Why Hijrī, not Gregorian?
Allaah ﷻ says:
“Indeed, the number of months with Allaah is twelve months in the register of Allaah from the day He created the heavens and the earth…”
(Sūrah at-Tawbah 9:36)
This confirms that rulings in Islaam are based on the lunar year (about 10–11 days shorter than the solar year).
Age 7 Hijrī – Start salah Training
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and discipline them for it when they are ten years old, and separate them in their beds.”
(Abū Dāwūd 495 transmitted it and Shaykh Al-Albani declare it ḥasan)
This seven is in Hijrī years, not Gregorian.
So, your child reaches this milestone earlier.
Age 15 Hijrī – Obligations Begin
When a child reaches maturity (bulūgh); fasting, salah, and other obligations become binding.
If puberty signs appear this means obligations start.
If not, then at 15 Hijrī years they become binding.
“I was presented to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Uhud when I was fourteen, and he did not allow me. Then I was presented to him on the day of the Trench when I was fifteen, and he allowed me.”
(Bukhārī 2664 and Muslim 1868 transmitted it)
Scholars agreed: 15 Hijrī is the cutoff age for childhood.
Shaykh Ibnu Bāz رحمه الله said:
الأعمار الشرعية التي وردت بها النصوص كسبع سنين للأمر بالصلاة، وخمس عشرة سنة لوجوب التكاليف، هذه كلها على حساب السنين الهلالية؛ لأن بها يتعلق الحكم الشرعي.
“The legal ages mentioned in the texts, such as seven for teaching prayer and fifteen for the obligation of duties, are according to the Hijrī calendar, because that is the calendar by which Islaamic rulings are established.”
(Fatāwā Ibnu Bāz 5/318)
When raising children:
Always count their age in Hijrī years, not Gregorian.
The Hijrī calendar is the calendar of Islaam.
The Hijrī calendar is the roadmap for your child’s Islaamic milestones.

The Measure of Eemaan: Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil
The stronger a person’s Eemaan becomes, the more his soul is moved to enjoin good and forbid evil. And the weaker his Eemaan grows, the more his soul becomes sluggish and falls short in bringing about change.
When Eemaan diminishes until it is like a tiny particle, its possessor becomes like the living dead: he neither recognizes good nor rejects evil.
This is indicated by the saying of the Prophet ﷺ:
«مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ، وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الْإِيمَانِ»
[رواه مسلم]
“Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he is not able, then with his tongue. And if he is not able, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of Eemaan.” [Reported by Muslim]
Thus, the hadith shows that the life of the heart is measured by how responsive it is to changing evil.

◾️The Mubtadi' (Innovator), Rarely Returns To The Truth◾️
📤 Benefit from the Shaykh Abu Ibraaheem Muhammad Ibnu Maani 'Al-Aanisi - may Allaah preserve him:
Shaykh Al-Islām Ibnu Taymiyyah رحمه الله said, as is mentioned in Dar’ Taʿāruḍ:
“Everyone who turns away from the Salafī, Sharʿī, Divine way, will inevitably go astray and fall into contradiction, and will remain in either compounded ignorance or simple ignorance.
So whoever turns away from the Salafī, Sharʿī, Divine way, there is no escape for him - he must deviate from the creed of the Salaf. He has deviated from the way of the righteous predecessors رضي الله عنهم in understanding the religion and acting upon it.
Thus, he must fall into misguidance, contradiction, and remain in either compounded ignorance or simple ignorance.”
So what is the difference between simple ignorance (Al-Jahl Al-Basīṭ) and compounded ignorance (Al-Jahl Al-Murakkab)?
In the book Al-Fawāʾid, Ibnu Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Simple ignorance is merely the absence of knowledge - he does not know. As for compounded ignorance, it is the ignorance of those who hold false beliefs: the ignorance of the people of innovation and misguidance. The first type - the one who has simple ignorance, i.e., merely lacks knowledge - such a person seeks knowledge, and as soon as the truth becomes clear to him, his ignorance is removed and he learns.
But the people of false beliefs - they believe they are upon the truth and upon a sound creed, while in reality they are upon ignorance, misguidance, and deviation. They persist upon their misguidance and their false creed. For this reason, the Salaf used to say: ‘He does not return (to the Straight Path) ’ - meaning, most often he will not be granted success to repent.
That is, he is not granted tawfīq for repentance.”
Our Prophet ﷺ confirmed this, as reported by At-Ṭabarānī from the ḥadīth of Anas رضي الله عنه, that the Prophet ﷺ said:
«إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَجَبَ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ صَاحِبِ كُلِّ بِدْعَةٍ»
“Indeed, Allaah has veiled repentance from the companion of every innovation.”
Imām Aḥmad رحمه الله said, as is mentioned in Ad-Ādāb Ash-Sharʿiyyah:
“That means he is not granted success to repent - he is not granted success. Because he regards his action as religion, he sees his innovation as a form of drawing closer to Allaah. For this reason, he does not return.”
When you sit in the masjid of Sunnah, the masjid of Ahl As-Sunnah, you hear an āyah from the Qur’ān, or a prophetic ḥadīth, or a statement from the Salaf. You hear nothing but this - and how noble that is! A Salafī group, treading the clear path of Sunnah and Kitāb.
Knowledge is knowing guidance with its proof. That is not the same as blind following - the two are never equal.
