Ethiopian Building Codes Standards
Private Sector Engagement in Building Code Revision

The Ethiopian Construction Authority, in collaboration with the College of Technology and Built Environment (formerly AAiT) and The Urban Center, is organizing a series of technical sessions in June 2025 to support the ongoing revision of the Ethiopian Building Code Standards.

Designed for professionals in the construction industry, the 14 expert-led sessions of EBCS will address key themes such as structural design, fire and earthquake safety, mechanical and electrical systems, and emerging building technologies. These sessions aim to highlight the building codes and gather input from the private sector, ensuring that industry experience is reflected in the revised codes, making them both inclusive and grounded in practice.
