#ReadingTip
If your reading score is 8.0 or higher, here is a useful tip that can help you deal with Identifying Information (T/F/NG or Y/N/NG) questions. Having taken the real test many times, I've come to a conclusion that the following tip works 95% of the time.

Uniform Distribution Strategy
:

In IELTS reading, answers to T/F/NG or Y/N/NG questions are often evenly distributed. For instance, if there are 6 questions, you might expect 2 True, 2 False, and 2 Not Given. If the number of questions is not divisible by 3, follow the "difference of 1" strategy: one type of answer is not likely to outnumber the others by more than 1.

Use with Caution:

Pattern Observation: This pattern is common but not guaranteed.
Confidence Required: This tip helps only if you are confident in your previous answers.
Final Question Tip: If unsure about the last question and you’ve followed the distribution pattern, choose the answer that maintains the balance.

So here is a question to check your understanding:
what is the expected distribution pattern if we have a total of 8 questions?
#EminemHoudini

As some of you might already know, I’m a huge Eminem fan. So every now and then when Em drops sth new, I make a post about it. So here we go!

Who else is listening to Eminem’s new single on repeat?

What’s your favorite line? Mine is the one about his Siamese cat :)

Here’s the line I came up with inspired by the new single:

“We definitely need Slim Shady in 2024
to bring the sanity back to the world”
#NewVocab #Music #Eminem

Alright, in light of Eminem's new song released today, I've decided to teach you some basic vocabulary.

Today, on May 31, 2024, Eminem released a new hit called 'Houdini'. You can also say 'he put out a new song' to sound more informal.

Another word for a 'song' is 'track', which simply means a piece of music usually from an album. So we can say: "We are expecting Eminem to release/drop a new album, but we don't know how many tracks there will be on that album."

Usually, a song that is not part of any album is called a 'single'. Sometimes, a single can be much more popular than a whole album. A case in point is 'Lose Yourself' by Eminem, a song that topped the charts for 12 consecutive weeks in 2002. No other rap song had achieved that feat until 'Old Town Road' in 2019.

'Lyrics' refers to the words of the song, and these lyrics consist of lines. The 'chorus' is the part of the song that is repeated after each verse and is often the most memorable part. For example, in 'Lose Yourself', the chorus starts with "You better lose yourself in the music, the moment..." This repetition makes the chorus catchy and easy to remember.

A 'verse' is a section of a song with different lyrics each time, usually telling a story or providing details. In contrast to the chorus, verses are not repeated in the same way.
The 'hook' is a catchy part of the song designed to catch the listener's attention. It's often found in the chorus but can also be a memorable instrumental riff or a lyrical phrase.

'Melody' refers to the sequence of notes that are musically satisfying; it's the main tune of the song. For instance, the melody in 'Houdini' is what you'll hum along to after hearing the song.

The 'beat' is the underlying rhythm or pattern of a song. In rap and hip-hop, the beat is crucial as it drives the flow and energy of the song. Eminem's songs often have strong, compelling beats that add to their impact.

A 'remix' is an alternative version of a song, often with different beats or added elements. DJs and producers often create remixes to give a song a new twist.

A 'cover' is a new performance or recording of a previously recorded song by another artist. Many artists cover popular songs to showcase their own style and interpretation.
Today marks the 1st day of the summer of 2024!

It is the perfect time to become a better version of yourself by improving your English, reading more books and replacing your bad habits with positive ones.

How do you plan to achieve that? What “challenges” will you set for yourself?
It has been reported that today candidates had a similar task 2 question.
The wording might be different, but the concept of the question remains the same. While the other question strictly asks candidates to discuss both views, this one allows for a one-sided approach.
However, it is crucial not to overlook the phrase 'best way' and some candidates make this mistake and end up losing key points for TR.
