Like many facets within our culture, the public house and the people of Britain can not thrive or survive without one another.

Once, the beautiful pub frontages that we currently cherish seamlessly blended into the very surroundings that now make them stand out like a sore thumb.

The 14th Century Vaulted Crypt Beneath The George Vaults - #Rochester, #Kent, #England 🍻

Venture with us into a medieval #crypt beneath a pub and wine bar in a fascinating little town that's absolutely packed with history. This venue allows one to step into the monastic footsteps of #Britain's ancestors, all while enjoying a drink. This is like having a room within a museum all to yourself, except this museum, not only serves alcohol, but allows you to stand up close to, and even touch the relics themselves. But, unlike museums, which have items in rooms, this room and the features within it are what make it a museum within itself. We can only imagine what these walls have seen and heard. We'd like to thank the staff at the George Vaults for giving us a warm welcome and access to this awe-inspiring part of Britain's history.

Yesterday, we visited the Cross Keys in #CoventGarden, where we enjoyed a great selection of lagers within an antiquitous setting. There aren't many public houses that tick as many boxes as this one. Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser Budvar alone are enough to make this one of London's top pubs. The group seemed to be as impressed with this public house as I was the first time I laid eyes on it. Make the most of these gems while we can. Thank you to everyone for a great turnout and a spectacular day. @BritainsPubs, ChelseaDan5

Pubs have always been places where we pulled more than just pints.
