For the week of 4–8 Aug 2025, Ethiopia’s interbank money market (IMM) saw two active tenors: overnight and 7-day. Banks traded ETB 6.625 billion overnight across 18 deals and ETB 9.010 billion in 7-day funds across 23 deals. The weighted-average (WA) rates were 13.96% (overnight) and 14.80% (7-day), up 1.9 and 2.8 percentage points from the prior week. Since launch on 31 Oct 2024, cumulative IMM turnover has reached ETB 888.5 billion.
