Interbank Money Market Weekly Trading Statistics: August 11 - 15, 2025

For the trading week of August 11 to August 15, 2025, the Ethiopian Securities Exchange reported on the Interbank Money Market statistics. In the overnight maturity category, a total volume of 7,130,000,000 ETB was traded across 24 transactions, with a weighted average interest rate of 12.07%, a decrease of 1.89% from the previous week.

For the 7-day maturity, there were 23 trades amounting to a volume of 8,100,000,000 ETB, and the weighted average interest rate was 13.93%, which is a 0.87% decrease from the prior week. The total volume traded since October 31, 2024, has reached 903,732,000,000 ETB.
