There is a quiet kind of grief that comes with moving on; the ache of letting go of what once was and of leaving behind something deeply cherished. This grief continues to exist within us even when we are nudged to look towards a brighter future. Perhaps this is partly a result of our lack of faith that God can do good in what’s ahead. We’re hesitant to let go, because what if… what if what’s to come won’t be able to compare to what we had…?

But Proverbs 3:5-6 exhorts us to trust in His ways throughout the neverending changes that we might experience in our lives. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 is the sacred space where God gently asks us to surrender ourselves to Him and allow Him to show us His divine care for us – even though we might never have full understanding of each detail of His plan.

The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord commemorates Jesus' ascension into heaven, 40 days after His resurrection. This marks the completion of His earthly mission and the beginning of His eternal reign. This solemn feast also reminds us of Christ’s glory and the hope of our own eternal life with Him.

Prayer is a fundamental part of our faith life, yet sometimes we may view it as passive, impractical or mere sentimentality. However, that is far from the truth.

Let us remember that when we pray, we are inviting the Lord into our reality and that is a powerful way we can live out the Gospel and evangelise.

Full-time Church ministry took a heavy toll on Cheryl’s mental health and social life, leaving her feeling weary and disillusioned. While some time has passed since her decision to leave, the shame of “not persevering” and the judgement placed on herself continues to surface for her at times. It is for this reason that the shame that accompanied Peter’s denial of Christ is a sentiment that deeply resonates with her.

But see, Christ restored Peter and deemed him still worthy of His love and the mission entrusted. All He asks Peter, is “ Do you love me? … Feed my sheep.”

We don’t need to approach Christ in perfection, only in love. So even through our tears, let us answer Him like Peter, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you” – and to nevertheless allow Him to work through our weakness. Because the journey of a disciple is never about how well we’ve performed, but about how willing we are to return.

While the solemnity of the ascension of our Lord and Laudato Si might seem like two unrelated events at first glance, the celebration of the solemnity occurring within Laudato Si Week this year invites us towards a deeper reflection of the mission that God has entrusted to us.

Christ’s ascension into heaven reveals to us His redemption of all of creation – both the spiritual and material – and reminds us of His commission for us to go forth to be witnesses of His salvation to the ends of the earth. Laudato Si’ gives us a concrete way to live out this mission. By caring for our common home and upholding the dignity of every person, especially the most vulnerable, we actively participate in Christ’s ongoing work of redemption.

Let us respond to Jesus’ call by renewing our commitment to care for our common home through prayer, reflection and action for the good of creation and future generations.

Mornings can be tough. The alarm goes off, little ones resist, and before we know it, tensions rise... even when we didn’t mean for them to.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Most of us are just doing our best in the blur of the morning rush. But even in the chaos, there’s space for grace. A deep breath. A quiet prayer. A gentle reset.

Our little ones aren’t trying to make life harder — they’re learning how to handle big feelings. And so are we. We’re not failing. We’re growing. And the good news? Jesus meets us in the middle of it all — right there, in the spills, sighs, and second chances.

Let us begin the day with connection and compassion. And when it doesn’t go as planned, there’s always tomorrow.

Held in conjunction with Earth Day 2025 and as part of Singapore’s SG60 celebrations, the Inaugural Interreligious Earth Day Dialogue brought together representatives from various faith traditions in a powerful display of unity, reflection, and commitment to environmental stewardship. Jointly organised by Caritas Singapore and the Archdiocesan Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism Centre of Singapore, this landmark event highlighted the shared values across religious communities in caring for our common home.

Let us nurture within ourselves and in the hearts of future generations, a deep and lasting relationship with the environment, answering the call echoed in Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’ — to care for our common home with urgency, love, and unity. 💚🌎

World Communications Day (WCD), established by Pope Paul VI in 1967, highlights the role of communications in spreading the Gospel and promoting truth, dialogue and peace.

In his message for WCD 2025, inspired by 1 Peter 3:15–16, Pope Francis calls for gentle, respectful, and hopeful communication in a world marked by division, aggression and disinformation. This Jubilee Year, he invites all to be “pilgrims of hope,” using communication to build unity and trust.

A livestream will be made available on Sunday, 1 June 2025 at 10:30am, for the homebound and their caregivers at live.catholic.sg.

This Easter, we’re invited not only to celebrate this love but to extend it, especially to those who are excluded and forgotten. Sometimes, the most powerful way to share His love is simply by making space: with a smile, a conversation, a meal together.

Pope Leo XIV will greet the cyclists of the Giro d’Italia on Sunday, 1 June 2025 at 3:30pm, as they pass through Vatican City State.

This is a symbolic "first stage" in anticipation of the Jubilee of Sport scheduled for 14 and 15 June 2025. This event will also serve as a tribute to the late Pope Francis, who had embraced the initiative originally proposed by Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, and implemented in cooperation with the Governorate of Vatican City State and Athletica Vaticana.
