Do you start to sweat when someone asks you to pray for them? ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

๐Ÿ™ Remember, your prayers don't have to be perfect nor eloquent. God will understand and He already knows what you need before you ask (Matthew 6:7-8).
Many men carry stress, anxiety, burnout, and deep sadness in silence, believing they have to โ€œdeal with itโ€ on their own. But strength isn't about being invincible. True strength is being real.

Jesus wept. St. Joseph faced uncertainty. Even the greatest saints had moments of fear and weakness. What made them strong was not the absence of struggle, but their willingness to lean on God and the people God placed in their lives.

If you're going through a hard time, please know this: you're not less of a man for feeling it. You're not alone. It's okay to speak up. It's okay to seek help. Meditate on Christ who suffered alongside us, and ask the saints to intercede for you. Remember, healing begins when we open our hearts to Godโ€™s love and allow His grace to renew our strength.

On this Jubilee of Seminarians, let us keep in prayer all the men in formation to become priests in our archdiocese and in the world. St.Therese of Lisieux, who had a particular mission to pray for priests and seminarians, enlightens us on the need for us to keep these men constantly in prayer, for โ€œif their sublime dignity lifts them above the angels, this does not mean that they are not weak and fragile.โ€ So let us, as Church, join St. Therese of Lisieux in interceding for the men who have courageously and selflessly answered the call of God in their lives, to be His missionary.

May the Lord be close to all seminarians as they receive the intellectual, spiritual, human, and pastoral formation that they need to become priests after the heart of Christ, and may they come to love and serve His Church in a way that reflects the unconditional and merciful love of the Good Shepherd.

Choosing the right school for your child can feel overwhelming and thatโ€™s okay. Itโ€™s not just about academics, but about finding a space that will nurture your childโ€™s heart, mind, and soul.

For Catholic parents, this decision is especially tender. How do we choose a school that supports our childโ€™s growth ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ our faith?

Fr. Mike Schmitz reminds us that God doesnโ€™t leave us to figure it out alone. In one of his talks, he shares four powerful questions to help us discern with wisdom.

It is not easy being a bishop, priest or deacon in the Church. These ordained ministers are being constantly pulled in different directions and are under extreme pressure.

While we may not always understand the weight they bear, one of the most powerful things we ๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ฏ do is to pray for them. May God strengthen them in heart and spirit, uphold them in truth, and help them remain faithful to their calling to lead, serve, and love as Christ did.

There is so much division in our world โ€” nations at war, families torn apart, hearts hardened by fear and pain. It can feel overwhelming, even hopeless at times.

But as people of faith, we are not powerless. One of the most powerful things we can do is pray โ€” ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜บ pray for peace. Peace in the world, peace in our homes, peace in our hearts.

Let us never tire of lifting up this cry to God:
๐‹๐จ๐ซ๐, ๐ฆ๐š๐ค๐ž ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ž๐š๐œ๐ž. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Even when we don't know what else to do, we can always begin with prayer.
Today, as we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we also celebrate the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests and the last day of the Jubilee of Priests (25-27 June 2025).

We thank and praise God for our priests who help us to experience the presence of the Lord through the sacraments, and their witness to the faith.

Let us keep them in our prayers and, also with the intercession of the saints, ask the Lord to sustain them in their ministry and deepen their love for Christ and His people. In moments of stress, loneliness, or discouragement, may the Lord draw near to them and grant them the graces they need to continue to find joy in the work they do.

Fr Christophe first arrived in Singapore on 30 March 1964, during a time of great uncertainty in our nationโ€™s history. Through the decades, he became a shepherd to many, especially the poor, the exploited, and the forgotten. Whether in factories or parishes, among youth or migrant workers, Fr Christophe brought Christโ€™s love where it was most needed.

Even now, at 97 years of age, he continues to inspire with his simple joy and faithful presence. We give thanks to God for the gift of his priesthood, and we keep him in prayer as he celebrates this remarkable milestone.

As this new week begins, let us pause and lift our hearts in prayer for Cardinal William Goh and all our beloved priests as they begin their annual Clergy Retreat today.

May this sacred time be one of deep rest, renewal, and intimacy with the Lord. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
We have recently observed a rise in sophisticated email scams impersonating our clergy (e.g. [email protected] and [email protected]). These deceptive communications often mimic genuine conversations, building false trust over several messages before initiating a scam.

Beyond email, vigilance is crucial on platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram, where scam activities are also on the rise. We must collectively safeguard our community from those who seek to exploit it.

To protect yourselves and our community, we urge you to read the full advisory at https://www.catholic.sg/advisory-online-scams.

Let us remain vigilant and prudent to protect one another from deception.

As parents, we long for our children to be happy, to grow in confidence, to build strong friendships, and to live meaningful, successful lives. But above all, we want them to know they are loved not just by us, but by a Love that never fails.

Thatโ€™s the heart of a Catholic education. More than academics or achievements, itโ€™s an invitation to discover who they are in the eyes of God. In Catholic schools, students are nurtured not only in mind and body, but also in spirit. They are taught to love themselves, to care for others, and to serve something greater than themselves.

If itโ€™s a life of purpose, compassion, and faith, consider giving them the gift of a Catholic education. A gift that lasts far beyond the classroom. โœจ

This July, we join Pope Leo XIV in praying for a renewed formation in discernment. ๐Ÿ™

In a world overflowing with noise and endless choices, may we learn once more to quiet our hearts, listen deeply, and recognise the gentle stirrings of the Holy Spirit that guides us toward truth, love, and the path that leads to Christ.
Do you ever find yourself wondering, โ€œHow could replying to emails, sitting through endless meetings, or chasing deadlines possibly glorify God?โ€

Itโ€™s hard to see sometimes. When your to-do list is never-ending, when everything is about KPIs, deliverables, and just trying to survive the week, it can feel like God is nowhere in the picture.

But what if He is? What if our work, even the mundane parts, can be holy ground? Our faith isnโ€™t something we leave at the door when we start our workday. Work isnโ€™t just what we do to get by; itโ€™s one of the ways we live out our calling.

As St. Basil said, we can pray not just before we work, but through it. A quiet โ€œJesus, be with me,โ€ in between tasks. A breath of grace before a tough meeting. A heart that chooses kindness in the middle of stress.

So if today feels ordinary, tiring, or unseen, take heart! God sees your work. Heโ€™s in it with you. And He delights when you offer it to Him, just as you are.
