i think it's easy to remain in cycles that keep pricking the worst parts of you, just because that's what you're used to, and any amount of change is vulnerable and terrifying. unknowns tend to get cast in our minds as scary things, but i think they can also be comforting. who knows how much care and joy and love is out there, that we haven't even begun to fathom? i think i'm always holding onto that hope.
