STARTING XI:
Sanchez - 6: Multiple important saves throughout. Poor distribution, especially early on. Not much could be done for the goals
Gusto - 4: Pace was important on the wings with quick opposing wingers. Lost the header leading to the second goal. Must improve in possession and with final delivery. Good effort defensively, but needs to improve defensive positioning.
Chalobah - 4.5: Struggled to deal with Flamengo’s pace in behind. Positioning was poor on multiple occasions.
Colwill - 4.5: Vital goal line clearance in the first half and was overall very active defensively. Poor defensive organization in the second half.
Cucurella - 5: High energy in attack and defense. Many important defensive contributions. Could have done better with his headed opportunity.
James - 4: Solid effort defensively, couldn’t quite cover enough ground to progress possession or balance the midfield.
Caicedo - 6: Work rate defensively was top notch with multiple important interventions and recovery. Was caught holding the Flamengo attackers onside for their opener.
Fernandez - 4: Created an opportunity for Delap early; little impact in attack or defense for the rest of the match.
Palmer - 4: Dangerous free kick late for Enzo; was slow in possession throughout offering little else.
Delap - 5.5: Strong hold up play and dangerous runs in behind. Decent strike early was saved, but unable to create other opportunities.
Neto - 7: Great pressing and quality finish to open the scoring. Chelsea’s primary outlet using pace and skill to get in behind and into space.
SUBSTITUTES:
Jackson - 0: Was shown a straight red card three minutes after coming on.
Lavia - 5: Calm and secure in possession. Lost marker leading to a goal.
Madueke - N/A: Added directness and effort in attack, but the game was already gone.
Guiu- N/A

The Premier League have written to Chelsea to seek clarification over the club’s position with ticket re-sellers - amid controversy over Todd Boehly’s involvement in Vivid Seats.
Boehly is both a director and investor in Vivid, described as an “unauthorised ticket seller” by the league, and also owns a 13% stake in Chelsea.
The website lists Chelsea matches on its platform, with some tickets last season at Stamford Bridge going for as much as £20,000. It is not allowed to operate in the United Kingdom, although is permissible overseas.
Chelsea Supporters’ Trust asked the Premier League to “act and investigate” the situation which they believe is both a “breach of trust and “a clear conflict of interest” in an open letter issued in March.
Premier League CEO Richard Masters has explained they are discussing the matter with Chelsea in a situation described as “ongoing” at a Football Supporters’ Association event last week.
The Supporters’ Trust has also submitted evidence against the American company to the government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
