This is exactly the thinking Arsenal used when they loaned Sterling. Him being terrible still cost them because they had to play Saka non stop, despite the low risk. We should not be justifying loading our team with mediocre players because of the low risk.

It would have been seriously crazy to sign sancho based on that Betis Final goal. I was honestly shocked when people said he had earned his transfer with that goal when he was shitty the whole season. A while back I said I'd even pay 200M to united to send him back.
