Not sure what to make of this really. But yeah, if considered across comps and disregarding penalties, he does have great goal involvement stats.

For Jackson, for the same seasons playing for Chelsea it is:

65 appearances

24 goals (all from open play)

10 assists

But Jackson is a ST at Chelsea and Joao is a SS at Brighton

I think the anxiety from fans comes from him being a similar profile to Nkunku who failed miserably.

One player that has suffered gracefully is KDH.

The man eats bench after bench but has always stepped up whenever called upon. No noise, no lamentations, no nothing. Just balling.

If there is one player we can easily recoup all the money used to buy him, if we decide to sell, it's him.

But in all fairness the man has had very limited opportunities and deserves so much more.

Considering that we will be playing in the Champions League and not the conference in the coming season, we will need quality and mentality everywhere. He could provide them.
