The answer to the given question is “Saturday Night Palsy”
⏹It is a classical example of Neuropraxia
⏹Saturday Night Palsy / Crutch Palsy:
✅Due to Radial Nerve Palsy
✅Occurs due to Compression of Radial Nerve in Radial groove while putting hand on chair or the crutch leading to ‘WRIST DROP’
✅Commonly seen after alcohol intoxication

The answer to the given question is “Saturday Night Palsy”
⏹Treatment:
✅Patient can apply a ‘Static Cock Up Splint’ which will keep their wrist in extended position till the time nerve recovers. Now if the nerve recovers in 1 to 2 weeks then it’s fine. But if the nerve takes around 4-5 weeks to recover then it would not be beneficial, as by that time the wrist would have assumed a Extension deformity/contracture/ stiffness
✅So we use a ‘Dynamic Cock Up Splint’ (Option D)
