Team Debol Statement of Appreciation for EHPA Former President
As Team Debol, we express our deep appreciation to the leadership of the Ethiopian Health Professionals Association (EHPA), particularly President Yonathan Dagnew and Melese Beata, for their courageous leadership and tireless advocacy for the rights of Ethiopian health professionals.
We have witnessed your commitment to strengthening the Ethiopian health system and advancing the voices of those who serve within it. Your work has been both impactful and inspiring.
We have recently learned of Yonathan Dagnewβs resignation, and we sincerely thank him for his countless sacrifices and steadfast leadership. His efforts have left a lasting legacy in the struggle for professional rights and systemic reform.
However, we remain deeply concerned by the governmentβs ongoing failure to lift the revocation of EHPAβs license, an issue that has persisted for far too long and continues to undermine the essential work of the Association.
We call on the remaining executive leadership team to persist in the fight for the reinstatement of EHPAβs license and to carry forward the mission of protecting and empowering health professionals in Ethiopia.
