The ERC-4337 standard may just be that huge leap forward to bring crypto to the masses. Vitalik Buterin himself wrote about it here.

Remember those 12-24 word seed phrases you nervously wrote down on pieces of paper so you don't lose access to your MM wallet? Well, ERC-4337 allows you to use simpler wallet recovery methods.
All those people confused and terrified by seed phrases can now join the crypto movement in much the same way they get a Netflix account.
But there is soooo much more to ERC-4337:
▪️Lose your phone? Get the wallet connected to it blocked for your funds' security
▪️Restore access to wallet via 3rd party apps to make your life so much easier
▪️Easily perform new functions like automatic payments
