Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson suggested during Tuesday’s Supreme Court arguments in Mahmoud v. Taylor that parents who object to LGBTQ and radical gender ideology themed books in public schools should just homeschool their children or switch schools.

That response reveals a deeply privileged and dismissive view of the real constraints families face.
