■ Intrusion: ➜ see part 1*
If the word ends in (a), 'r' is often intruded to link it to the next following vowel sound
• pastaʳ and pizza (= pastarand...)
• Annaʳ and I (=Annarand...)
■ gemination
When two same consonants meet, (in one word or separate) we pronounce them as one word at once, not separately.
• this site
• unnamed
• don't tell
■ elision
When a wond ends in certain letters like 't', 'd' etc. and followed by other words, It's often left out.
• Must be = mosbe
• Next door = nexdoor
• Dad told [NOT dadtold]
• His shoe [NOT hizshoe]
Examples
1] Dad told Anna and her friends over and over again not to take his car without his permission
2] Don't tell me you've ordered pasta and pizza at the same time, you most be ravenous then.
* Note that in the previous part I mistakenly said 'y' is used for (a sound), but it's (r) used in that case.
