As we step into the new year, we will continue our exploration of AI in Education with Chapter 7 from the handbook:

Casebourne, I., & Wegerif, R. (2024). The Role of AI Language Assistants in Dialogic Education for Collective Intelligence. In Artificial Intelligence in Education: The Intersection of Technology and Pedagogy (pp. 111-125). Cham: Springer Nature Switzerland.

Chapter 7 takes a philosophical approach, raising profound questions about the role of AI in education, how our educational system might need to evolve, and what part AI can play in this transformation. It’s a fascinating and thought-provoking read, and I encourage everyone to engage deeply with its ideas.

We will discuss these themes in our session at 10:30 on Monday, the 18th of Farvardin, at Room 221.

In addition to the chapter a supplementary podcast that unpacks some of its key arguments are attached.
