✅ Learn English with a Poem: “The New Colossus” by Emma Lazarus
Improve your English with a sonnet by the American poet Emma Lazarus. This poem was written in 1883, but it has a lot of relevance to what is happening in the world today. You might feel threatened when looking at an old poem – all that formal unfamiliar vocabulary can be intimidating. But I’ll show you that it doesn’t have to be scary. I’ll take you through the poem line by line and explain the difficult words and concepts. We will also learn a little bit about the poem’s structure and rhyme scheme. This is the article I refer to in the video.

✅ My apology video…
I need to say sorry… Sorry for not teaching you about apologizing in English until now! In this video, I’ll talk about how we apologize in English: when to do it and how to do it. I’ll show you how to apologize when you mean it and when you just have to do it, but don’t really think you’ve done anything wrong. Canadians are well-known for apologizing even when they don’t need to. But I’m not a typical Canadian.

✅ Learn English with Alice in Wonderland
Fall down the rabbit hole and learn five English phrases that were created or popularized by Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. This lesson will not only increase your vocabulary, but your pop culture knowledge, and Western mental health language knowledge as well. Some of the language in the lesson includes: mad as a Hatter, curiouser and curiouser, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and more! Don’t forget to pick up your FREE AUDIO BOOK from Audible after you have finished the lesson.. If you decide to get a copy of Alice in Wonderland, I recommend getting the version narrated by Shelby Lewis! It has some of the clearest and easiest-to-understand pronunciation you will find in an English audio book.

✅ How do posh people speak? Learn about language and social class in England
How do posh people talk? This lesson is all about posh people in England! How do they talk? What kind of jobs do they have? What kind of lives do they live? I will explain what it means to speak and act like a posh English person in terms of social class and family background. I will also give you some examples of British actors, such as Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley who, in most of their films, play the parts of posh people. You will also learn about Nancy Mitford’s “U” and “Non-U” language. She was an English journalist and novelist who wrote about posh people in the 1950s. Though society is always changing, awareness of class and the language associated with class is still very important in England, so if you’re studying English or just interested in English culture, watch this video.
