In todayβs digital world, social media plays a central role in the lives of young people. While it offers numerous advantages, such as easy communication, access to information, and entertainment, many argue that social media is causing more harm than good. I strongly believe that social media has a negative impact on young peopleβs mental health, self-esteem, and productivity.
First of all, one of the most serious problems is its effect on mental health. Studies have shown that excessive use of social media can lead to anxiety, depression, and loneliness. Young people often compare themselves to others online, which can create unrealistic expectations and feelings of inadequacy. Seeing othersβ βperfectβ lives may make them feel their own life is not good enough.
Secondly, social media can damage self-esteem. Many young users seek validation through likes, comments, and followers. When they donβt receive the attention they expect, it can lower their confidence. This pressure to look good or act a certain way can also push them to use filters or even edit their appearance, which creates a false image of reality.
In addition, social media is a major distraction. Many students spend hours scrolling instead of studying or doing productive activities. This can affect their academic performance and even disturb their sleep, especially when they stay up late using their phones.
However, it is important to mention that social media also has benefits. It allows young people to stay connected with friends, express themselves, and learn about the world. When used in moderation and with guidance, it can be a useful tool.
In conclusion, although social media has some positive sides, I believe it is doing more harm than good to young people. It affects their mental health, lowers self-esteem, and wastes their time. Therefore, parents, teachers, and society should help young people use it wisely and develop healthy habits.

In recent years, travelling to remote and less-explored destinations has become increasingly popular among tourists. While this trend offers several benefits, it also poses notable challenges. This essay will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages before presenting a final opinion.
One of the main drawbacks of visiting far-flung areas is the potential harm to both travelers and the environment. These off-the-beaten-path destinations are often underdeveloped and may lack basic infrastructure such as hospitals, clean water, and transportation. As a result, tourists might be exposed to unexpected risks, including dangerous wildlife, unfamiliar diseases, or natural hazards. Furthermore, increased human activity in pristine natural environments can lead to environmental degradation. The construction of roads, hotels, and other facilities may disturb local ecosystems, pollute the area, and threaten rare species.
Despite these issues, there are also significant advantages. Exploring untouched regions allows people to experience nature in its purest form, offering a sense of wonder and connection with the natural world. In addition, visiting such areas can lead to scientific discoveries, such as identifying new plant or animal species that may have medical or ecological importance. Moreover, exposure to these unique environments can raise awareness about the need for environmental protection and inspire both tourists and local communities to take conservation more seriously.
In conclusion, although travelling to remote destinations comes with certain risks and environmental concerns, the opportunity to explore unspoiled nature and contribute to scientific knowledge and environmental awareness makes it a worthwhile pursuit. In my view, the advantages slightly outweigh the disadvantages, provided that such tourism is managed responsibly.

BAND 5.5
Nowadays visiting of the beaten track destinations is becoming increasingly popular among tourists. In this essay both pros and cons of this trend would be discussed.
On of the main disadvantage of visiting far reach places around the world is that it can be really dangerous and harmful not only to humans but also to the places themselves. What i mean by this is that these of the beaten track destinations haven't been explored well enough and might be risky to travel around. For example, there can be a plenty of new poisonous animals which can cause different diseases.Secondly, if after a few years these places would be developed and occupied by tourists it can cause a lot of harm to untouched and pure nature.
While this trend has negative sides,it would not be fair to not consider that it also has a few positive sides. One of the main advantages of exploring untouched areas is that we can enjoy there and see rare nature in all its bloom.Furthermore we can discover new plants and creatures and that would help to out scientific advancement. Moreover seeing and being in this wonderful surroundings might encourage us to take care about our planet properly and value its beauty.
In conclusion, Exploring yet difficult to reach destinations has both pros and cons. However in my opinion disadvantages of this trend outweight all advantages.

β Q: Some people say that all popular TV programmes should aim to educate viewers about important social issues. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
π‘ Answer:
It is widely discussed that all well-known television shows should attempt to raise public awareness about social concerns. In my opinion, such initiatives by well-known entertainment shows are necessary. The main reason for my viewpoint is that the general public extensively watches all popular entertainment programmes. Therefore, by communicating a social message, they may educate people about it. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I shall explain my point of view.
These days, entertainment shows are popular among all ages and genders. Suppose TV shows focus on teaching people about social concerns in their communities. Then it's without a doubt that it will reach the masses and subliminally inform and help people become more conscious of the country's problems. Moreover, these messages raise awareness of social concerns such as rising crime, environmental difficulties, and many others that occur on a daily basis and pose possible hazards and threats to people's lives. Hence it allows people to defend themselves and enhance their quality of life.
Another aspect to consider is that there aren't enough mediums for individuals to learn about the concerns. Because the publications that usually cover these topics, such as newspapers and magazines, are not regularly read by the general public, especially young people. The best method to reach out to them and pass on information, whether directly or indirectly, is through entertainment programmes. Even if a portion of the show's time is devoted to educational programming, this would have a ripple effect on society at large.
In a way, it might also be true that such inclusion would jeopardize the essence of the programs. However, program directors' creativity can assist in delivering the social message while still protecting the program's core in a unique way.
To conclude, popular entertainment programmes are the most successful means of reaching and influencing the public. Hence inclusion of social awareness segments is a laudable initiative from the program owner.

Some people argue that families who send their children to private schools should be exempt from paying taxes that fund public education. While this perspective may seem fair at first glance, I strongly disagree with this notion for several reasons.
Firstly, education is a public good that benefits society as a whole. Even if some families opt for private education, they still rely on the contributions of state-educated citizens, such as doctors, engineers, and public service workers. If only those who use public schools funded them, there would be significant financial strain, leading to a decline in the quality of education for millions of students.
Secondly, taxation is based on collective responsibility rather than personal benefit. For instance, people without children still contribute to education funding because an educated population leads to economic growth and social stability. Allowing exemptions would set a dangerous precedent where individuals demand tax reductions for public services they do not use, such as healthcare or infrastructure, weakening the entire system.
Lastly, private school students may still indirectly benefit from state education funding. Public schools contribute to teacher training, curriculum development, and educational research, which also influence private institutions. Moreover, if a private school student transfers to a public school or requires special educational services, they should have access to a well-funded system.
In conclusion, families who send their children to private schools should continue paying taxes that support public education. Doing so ensures equal opportunities for all children, upholds social responsibility, and sustains the long-term benefits of an educated society.
