On culture

Culture is the visible manifestation of a racial spirit.

You cannot have the same culture in racially different environments.

Protecting the racial coherence means protecting culture.

Miscegenation between two races will lead to a terrible decay of both cultures.

On science

Unfortunately we witness a time in history of science that will be absolutely embarrassing to look back on from the vantage point of the next century:

There is no culture of criticism in science. Scientists define the questions that can be answered.

People who sponsor pseudo-scientific studies can freely determine the outcomes of 'research'.

Results of honest research is censored, because opinions matter over hard facts.

Scientists ignorantly (or willfully) ignore the fruits of over 150 years of research and results in the field of electricity, plasma physics and astrophysics.

The (((πŸ”—Einsteinian))) dogma still defines large parts of science.

Without a radical reset on the field of science, we are doomed to suffer from many more years of stagnation and inevitable decay.

On Mithra (1)

Many claim that Mitrhas is some Pagan deity and the cult rooted in Pagan customs, but I think it is something different.

But let's break down the symbology to get an idea of what we are dealing with here!

First of all: Mithra is one of the later minor deities of Persian Zoroastrianism.

He became the God of a new religion and contract between humans and a greater God.

'Mithra' even translates as 'contract'.

As many other religions or world views which popped up in the last 500 years before the year 0, the concept of a covenant between this new, greater, and impersonal God is offered as a promise of hope.

Only Taoism stands out here, as a more secular philisophy.

Mithraism was first noted in Parthia in 272 BC and became well established in Roman regions of Europe and North Africa by the first century AD. In a few hundred years, Mithraism spread far into Western Europe as a self-contained religion.

It was a forerunner of Christianity!

On Mithra (2)

In the Roman cult of Mithraism, the name "Mithras" is understood to mean "mediator." Christ preached a new contract with God also, under the metaphor of God as a shepherd.

Mithraism takes on the iconography of a bull (the constellation Taurus) slain by the God Mithras (as represented by the constellation Perseus, standing above Taurus in the sky), and clearly includes a number of other constellations in the imagery.

All represent animals which one by one follow Taurus in appearing above the eastern horizon during the summer night skies.

The cave as a metaphor for the cosmos is an interesting concept, for this can be extended to having a God standing outside of the cave, outside the cosmos.

We have no clear idea what the real meaning of the Mithraic iconography is, although it could be guessed that it expressed a new order for humanity and the Universe: the old gods were dead and an invisible "greater god" tilted the heavens.

On Mithra (3)

There are twin boys (Cautes and Cautopates) on the left and right of Mithra and on each side of a depiction of the zodiac. The boys are holding torches, one holds his torch high and the other pointed down. Both boys have their legs crossed, each with a different leg in the front.

The crossed legs might represent the vernal and autumnal equinox.

In some cases the crossed legs correspond correctly to the the vernal and autumnal equinox, in other cases these are reversed.

The two torches represent the winter and summer solstice of the Sun after fall and spring equinox.

The torch held down represents the act of relighting the torch at the winter solstice.

The torch held high represents the full light of the summer solstice.

So what can we learn from all of this?

- Mithraism is not Pagan, as it's not based on the old Gods.
- Mithraism is a forerunner of Christianity, just widespread among soldiers.
- the time around 650BC gave rise to a couple of such religions

Today I built a little birdhouse from scrap wood I got for 5€.

One hour of work and the base was finished.

The roof still needs to be covered with roofing felt and all the wood covered with seed oil. (Yes, we use it to protect wood against water. Would never eat it!)

On sages

Periander the Corinthian (668 BC – 584 BC) was the second tyrant of Corinth, succeeding his father Cypselos who overthrew the powerful Doric Bacchiadai family who were kings in the city.

The reign of Periander brought enormous prosperity to the city, with his able administration Corinth became one of the richest city-states in ancient Greece.

The memory of his wisdom was preserved over many centuries to the extent that it was ranked among the 7 sages of antiquity.

The remaining six sages were Thales, Solon the Athenian, Cleobolus, Chilo the Lacedaemonian, Byas the Prieneus, and Pittacus.
