Several useful features have been brought back with the latest source changes.

- Status bar lyrics
- Combined signal icons
- Pocket mode
- Prevent accidental wake
- Double tap to ambient display
- QS battery customization
- QS brightness slider haptic feedback
- QS footer text customization
- Reticker landscape only mode
- Kill button in notification guts
- Less boring heads up

Expect them to be included in the upcoming releases. :)

Latest Evo version is now 7.9.6 Pares. It's based on the latest Pixel Fold security patches (r66).

Android 14 will either be released by next month or September, in which case we will be in rebase mode once again. We hope you can stay patient during the following months as we will have to see which features can be kept or will be removed.

- If you encounter internet connection issues coming from an older build with Per-app Network restriction, wipe data once.
- If you encounter issues with miui/leica camera, try turning off the Parallel processing function in the settings of the app, then restart the app once.

Initial August 2023 security patches have been merged into Evolution X source! 👌🏻

Version 7.9.7 is Pinakbet! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinakbet) and Safetynet should still pass by default (basic attestation only)

With the expected arrival of Android 14 stable source codes within the following weeks, we would like to remind users that major Android updates will definitely require several changes and might take some time in order to bring back the features included in Android 13. Initial builds will surely include less features than the current feature set available.

Android 14 will be version 8.0 for Evolution X and we will still continue the tradition of naming our versions from popular Filipino cuisine.

Android 14 will also most likely require a clean flash in order to work properly so prepare your backups now. A suggested backup app would be Swift backup from the Play store.

Thank you for continuing to support Evolution X and if you would like to help motivate a faster productivity once Android 14 sources codes are released, you may consider donating as well (crypto accepted).

We hope to provide the best and most stable builds of Evolution X once Android 14 arrives and as always, we will #KeepEvolving.

To continue, in case some legacy devices aren't able to boot Android 14 anymore due to older kernel versions, we will try our best to keep Android 13 security patches updated as well.

Our OTA updater has been DISABLED for new releases in preparation for the Android 14 release. Please stop trying to report it as a bug. It is intentional to avoid dirty flashing from Android 13 to 14.
