After the away fan ban against Eintracht Frankfurt supporters was reissued, even the Italian Ministry of the Interior is now stepping in!

According to multiple reports, out of fear that hundreds of Frankfurt fans might travel again to Naples despite the ban, Italy will suspend the EU Schengen Agreement and several EU rights for 48 hours during the duration of the match.

With tightened border controls and passport checks and expected crackdowns the Naples prefecture and the ministry of Interior are trying to prevent any German fans from entering the Country

Such drastic measures are extremely rare for a Ministry of interior to do : The last time something similar happened in the Champions League was when France during Marseille vs. Ajax implemented border controls inside the Schengen Area, yet even then, the Schengen Agreement wasnโ€™t suspended unlike now in Italy.
