🥀EMBODYING THE SPIRIT OF ISLAM RATHER THAN CULTURE:🥀

Martyr Subeiti attached great importance to celebrating events in the Islamic calendar whereby the atmosphere within the home reflected this, such that the children were nurtured to give primary attention to them, above cultural symbolisms and celebrations.

One notable example is the Takleef celebration, when the female becomes the age of 9 years and is required to wear the headscarf in Islam. The celebrations were unique and full of meaning, so much so, that every young female in the household would eagerly anticipate their turn.

Martyr Subeiti would give a personalised speech amongst a gathering of relatives, beginning with:

“Embrace your covering, O daughter of nine..”

The mukalaffa (she who turned 9) would in turn be encouraged to give a speech, describing what she believes this new milestone in her life signifies. She was not treated as a young girl, rather a young lady with agency who has reached the stage of maturity.

Dr. Hasan Ghadiri says, “It was very hard for the people of Italy, the center of Christianity, to accept that Senator Agnelli’s only son had turned towards Islam. They were very upset about his decision to become a Muslim and pressured him to change his mind. They boycotted him, threatened him, they voted to disinherit him and actually did it but it did not change his mind.

He saw through the reality of expensive cars, wealth, political influence and more as nothing but a distraction and a product of man’s greed, selfishness, egoism, evil and overcompensation of insecurities. He preferred the spiritual life and was known by many as a mystic. Angelo Magrini, the chairman of a blood donor’s association in Turin, paid tribute to his social sensibilities and his generous work of charity.

According to Dr. Marco Bava, “Edoardo was one of the most transparent and fair people I’ve come across in my life. He felt it as his duty to distribute through social actions, being good to people and taking care of the less fortunate. These were the great privileges that Edoardo was blessed with at birth. He always wanted to try to convey his good fortune and his great privilege to others who did not have the same luck. I would call him a generous, helpful and simple person.

The service of Hazrat Zahra (sa) 🥀 Memory of Haj Sardar 🥀
Every year, in Fatemieh, he held ten nights of mourning ceremonies . He used to hold the program in the yard of his house in Kerman.
During the Fatimieh ceremony, most of the work was with him, from sweeping to making tea!
We had hired workers to clean Beit Al-Zahra's washrooms. (The land he bought next to his house and dedicated it for mourning, refer bio for information). Until he realized this, he went down to them. He did not let the workers touch the work. Then he said everyone to go out. He forbade anyone to go down(where the washrooms were).

He closed the door and started cleaning. When he came out after 45 minutes, he took a deep breath and said, "Akhish(Oh); "I was also able to do a service to the mourning of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH)." There was a lot of work. Haji had chosen the hardest and most sincere one.

Bio:Every year, during Fatemieh he held ten nights of mourning ceremonies . He used to hold the program in the yard of his house in Kerman. Ten years later, by moving his house to the current Shahid Rajaei Street , he bought the land next to his house and joined it and named it Beit Al-Zahra (PBUH). In 1997, when he was transferred to Tehran, he dedicated Beit Al-Zahra to mourning. He wanted it to be a center for spreading the culture of the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

﷽🥀Feeling the arrival of the month of Rajab🥀
(Memory of Martyr Motahhari narrated by his children)

When we were children, we used to feel the coming of the month of Rajab and Sha'ban because of our late father. When the month of Rajab came, his mood and worship were different.

Our parents used to fast on Thursdays and Fridays in the month of Rajab and sometimes our father used to fast all three months i.e Rajab, Sha'ban and Ramadan. In fact, the month of Rajab felt different in our house.
Now we ourselves do not feel that the month of Rajab has arrived at all and we have to find it with the help of a calendar.
