एक सेठ-जी के पास एक ग्राहक कुछ समान लेने के लिए आया। उसने जितने का समान लिया उसमें 10 रूपये कम पड़ गए तो सेठ-जी ने कहा कुछ समान कम कर देता हूँ, हम उधार नहीं देते।

ग्राहक को सेठ-जी की बात बहुत ही बुरी लगी,

बोला कि मेरे घर में तीन-दिन से खाना नहीं बना

मेरा पूरा परिवार भूखा है और आपको रूपयों की पड़ी है।

सेठ-जी ने कहा 5 मिनट रूको, घर से सेठानी को बोलकर भोजन की एक शानदार थाली लगवाकर ले आए और बोले,

पहले भोजन करो तथा जाते समय कुछ भोजन बच्चों के लिए भी ले जाना।

उस व्यक्ति के जाने के बाद जब सेठ-जी के बच्चों ने पूछा पिता जी ये कैसा व्यवहार, 10 रूपये कम पड़ने पर तो

आपने उनका समान कम कर दिया और बाद में भरपेट भोजन तो करवाया ही साथ में और भोजन भी बांध दिया।

आखिर ऐसा क्यों....???

सेठ भी ख़ानदानी था बोला …… बच्चों हमेशा ये सीख याद रखना....
