📋 Speaking Part 2 — on 10 March in 2020

◼️Describe an interesting talk or lecture you ever heard.

📌You should say:

🔰When and where did you hear?
🔰Who was the speaker?
🔰What was it about?
🔰and explain why you think it was interesting?

Well, I have listened to a number of lectures and speeches of various persons. But here I would like to talk about a person who had impressed me with her talk. Her name is Dr Yu-Wan Wang from China. She is a professor at Stony Brook University in USA. One month ago, she visited at Fergana Politechnical Institute to make a speech. This lecture was held in Activity Hall. Many students who know English was invited there. Dr Wang came to my country with exchanging program between Universities. This program's aim was to cooperate and exchange education systems. Firstly she started to introduce Stony Brook University and told about tution fee and scholarships and other details which were important for us. And then, She made a presentation to show. It included interesting videos, pictures and information. This lecture took 2 hours. It seems to be so long time to listen someone but this time passed faster then I expected. Dr Wang could completely answer us our questions which were interesting for us and she inspired us to study hard and never give up achieving our dreams. Why I decided to attend this lecture, because after graduating, I want to continue my studies in USA to take Master's degree. I could take all needful information for myself in this lecture, so it was a helpful talk for my future career.

📋 IELTS Writing Samples

IELTS Writing Test lasts for 60 minutes, and you will need to complete two writing tasks, each of which requires different text types (description, report, discussion, argument, opinion text).

✅IELTS Writing Task 1
In the first part, you are given a task based on some graphic or pictorial information. You are expected to write a descriptive report of at least 150 words on the information provided.

✅IELTS Writing Task 2
The second task is more demanding. You are expected to produce a written argument on a given topic and to organise your answer clearly, given some examples to support your points. You will have to write at least 250 words and, as Task 2 is longer than Task 1, you are advised to spend approximately 40 minutes on this task and 20 minutes on the first task.

✅IELTS General Writing
If you are planning to take the GT module, the Writing test is different. You are allowed one hour to complete two tasks, of 150 and 250 words, as in the Academic module. However, Task 1 is always a letter, while Task 2 is an essay based on a given topic.
