❦. This day in itself was a tribute to, and celebration of, our beautiful friend. This cover is part of visual, tribute to my beloved friend and colleague, Virgil Abloh🕊. It is a reflection on his art, favorite objects and artifacts in a testament to the breadth and depth of his vision. Here I stands holding one of Virg’s Louis Vuitton skateboards - a paradigm shifting initiative to a luxury house, that was so important to him. Indeed, watching Virg himself skate around the studio, in his giant, elegant, easy, glory was something to see. Baggies and diamonds and big smiles, it was always so effortless. I always adored Virgil’s dedication to his teenage self and how the cultural phenomena that shaped him was ever present in his work. It is part of the beauty he leaves us with today.
