The Present Perfect Tense


🔹 Definition:

Present Perfect Tense એવો કાળ છે જે ભૂતકાળમાં શરૂ થઈ ચૂકેલું કાર્ય હાલમાં પૂર્ણ થયું હોય અથવા તેનું પરિણામ હાલમાં દેખાતું હોય તે દર્શાવે છે.


🔹 Structure:

✅ Affirmative Sentence (હકારાત્મક વાક્ય):

Subject + has/have + past participle (V3) + object

He has eaten lunch.
તે જમણું ખાઈ ચૂક્યો છે.

We have finished our work.
અમે આપણું કાર્ય પૂરું કરી લીધું છે.


➡️ Has = He, She, It, Name
➡️ Have = I, We, You, They

✅ Negative Sentence (નકારાત્મક વાક્ય):

Subject + has/have + not + past participle (V3) + object

She has not gone to school.
તે શાળાએ ગઈ નથી.

They have not called me.
તેમણે મને ફોન કર્યો નથી.



✅ Interrogative Sentence (પ્રશ્નવાચક વાક્ય):

Has/Have + subject + past participle (V3) + object?

Have you eaten dinner?
શું તમે રાત્રિભોજન લીધું છે?

Has he finished his homework?
શું તેણે તેનું હોમવર્ક પૂરું કર્યું છે?


🔹 Usage in Gujarati:

1. ભૂતકાળમાં થયેલું કાર્ય જેનું પરિણામ આજ સુધી અસર કરે છે.

I have lost my keys.
મેં મારી ચાવીઓ ગુમાવી છે. (હજુ સુધી મળી નથી)


2. હાલમાં પૂર્ણ થયેલું કાર્ય દર્શાવવા માટે.

They have just arrived.
તેઓ હમણાં હમણાં આવ્યા છે.



3. "Already", "Just", "Yet", "Since", "For" વગેરે શબ્દો સાથે ઉપયોગ થાય છે.


🔹 Time Indicators (સમય દર્શાવતા શબ્દો):

Already = પહેલેથી

Just = હમણાં હમણાં

Yet = હજુ સુધી (Negative/Question)

Since = જ્યારેથી (નિશ્ચિત સમયથી)

For = જેટલા સમયથી (અનિશ્ચિત સમય)

I have completed my homework. મેં મારું હોમવર્ક પૂર્ણ કર્યું છે.

She has never seen the Taj Mahal. તેણે ક્યારેય તાજમહેલ જોયો નથી.

We have lived here for 10 years. અમે અહીં 10 વર્ષથી રહ્યા છીએ.

Have you ever been to Mumbai? શું તમે ક્યારેય મુંબઈ ગયા છો?
