Paris – a place of intersection of Olympic traditions and philosophy of Kurash

🇫🇷From July 21 to July 23, 2025, the Kurash festival was held in the capital of France, Paris.

The traditional International Kurash Tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan gathered the best Kurash athletes from different continents of the world.

♻️This competition was organized not only for sporting purposes, but also to strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity between peoples, to widely popularize the ancient sport of Kurash at the International level, and to convey to the general public its philosophical and cultural values.

At the official opening ceremony of the tournament, the athletes were invited to the Gilam under the flags of the participating countries.

❗️The ceremony was attended by the Vice-President of the International Kurash Association, President of the European Kurash Confederation Merampi Iliadis, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, President of the French Kurash Federation Frederic Le Calvez, First Deputy Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Kadirov, Assistant Chairman Sardor Karimov, as well as heads of International and national sports organizations, representatives of the diplomatic corps and fans.
📌Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to France Nodir Ganiev opened the ceremony with a congratulatory speech.

Париж – место пересечения олимпийских традиций и философии Кураш

🇫🇷С 21 по 23 июля 2025 года в столице Франции, Париже, прошел фестиваль Кураш.

Традиционный международный турнир по Кураш на приз Президента Республики Узбекистан собрал лучших курашистов с разных континентов мира.

♻️Это соревнование было организовано не только в спортивных целях, но и для укрепления уз дружбы и солидарности между народами, широкой популяризации древнего вида спорта Кураш на международном уровне, а также для донесения до широкой общественности его философских и культурных ценностей.

На официальной церемонии открытия турнира спортсмены были приглашены в Гилам под флагами стран-участниц.

The International Kurash Tournament for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the highest level at the Émile Anthoine Arena in the French capital!

🌍 Kurash athletes from 25 countries came to the Gilam in a spirit of friendship, fairness, and nobility. The Paris competition became a vivid symbol not only of sport but also of cultural dialogue between nations.

There are only a few days left until the start of the Asian Kurash Championships for Seniors, Juniors, and Cadets.

🗓From July 30 to August 5, the strongest Kurash athletes from 25 countries will test their strength in Goesan, South Korea.

📍The competitions will be held at the Jungwon University Sports Complex. All conditions have been created for the championship.

Кураш бўйича илк бора Шарқий ва Жанубий-Шарқий Осиё чемпионати ўтказилади

🗓2025 йил 27 сентябрдан 2 октябрга қадар Хитой Тайпейининг Тайбэй шаҳрида кураш бўйича Шарқий ва Жанубий-Шарқий Осиё мамлакатлари чемпионати бўлиб ўтади.

Мусобақа Халқаро Кураш Ассоциацияси (IKA), Осиё Кураш конфедерацияси ва Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation ҳамкорлигида ташкил этилади.
Чемпионат доирасида IKA ҳакамлик (1–2 юлдуз) имтиҳонлари, IKI мураббийлик семинарлари ва Кураш мураббийларининг A&B лицензиялари учун имтиҳонлар ўтказилиши режалаштирилган.

📍Taipei Gymnasium спорт мажмуасида ўтказиладиган баҳсларда Осиёнинг Жанубий ва Жанубий шарқий Осиё давлатлари Кураш федерациялари ҳар бир вазнда бир нафардан курашчилар иштирокига рухсат берилган.

The First Ever East and Southeast Asian Kurash Championship Will Be Held

🗓From September 27 to October 2, 2025, Chinese Taipei will host the East and Southeast Asian Kurash Championship.

The event is organized in collaboration with the International Kurash Association (IKA), the Kurash Confederation of Asia, and the Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation.
As part of the championship, IKA Refereeing Examinations (1–2 stars), IKI Coaching Seminars, and exams for Kurash coaching A & B licenses are planned.

📍Each Kurash Federation from South and Southeast Asian countries can enter one athlete per weight class, with competitions taking place at the Taipei Gymnasium sports complex.

❗️The championship will feature the following weight categories:

Men: -60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg, -81 kg, -90 kg, -100 kg, -120 kg -+100 kg
Women: -48 kg, -52 kg, -57 kg, -63 kg, -70 kg, -78 kg, -87 kg, +87 kg

🔰“This championship is not only a competition but also a platform for friendship and cooperation. Kurash is a sport that promotes human values,” said IKA President Haider Farman.

🔹Organizers aim to offer attendees more than just a sporting event — an opportunity to experience Taiwanese culture, cuisine, and landmarks. According to Ms. Tsui Fang Chang, President of the Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation, famous attractions like the “Thousand-Hand and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin” statue, traditional markets, and local eateries will welcome visitors.

📌For reference: Chinese Taipei previously hosted the Asian Youth and Junior Kurash Championships in 2013 and 2015. After 10 years, it is now hosting the East and Southeast Asian Championship for the first time.
The International Kurash Association invites all member countries to actively participate in this event.

“KHONOBOD OPEN” – WELCOME TO THE CUP OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF ANDIJAN REGION

🇺🇿Located in the southern part of the Fergana Valley, in the mountains, the city of Khanabad in Andijan region is today famous not only for its natural beauty, but also for its high respect for sports traditions, in particular, for Kurash. Continuing these traditions, Khanabad will host another important sporting event in 2025.

🗓On August 12-14, 2025 in Khanabad city of Andijan region will be held the Kurash Tournament “KHONOBOD OPEN”.
The competition is organized jointly with the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan, Administration of Andijan region, regional prosecutor’s office, regional department of sports and Kurash Federation of Andijan region. The tournament will be attended by teams from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent and all regions, as well as invited Kurash athletes from foreign countries.
Competitions will be held in accordance with the “International rules of Kurash” in the following weight categories: men: -66 kg, -73 kg, -81 kg, -90 kg, + 90 kg, as well as absolute weight category and women: -57 kg, -70 kg, +70 kg.

🏆A cash prize of 30 million soums for the first place, 20 million soums for the second place and 10 million soums for the third place was announced.
The winner in the absolute weight category will be awarded with a Chevrolet Cobalt car.

❗️All accommodation expenses for 3 athletes and 1 coach from a foreign country will be paid by the Organizing Committee.
