Mikayla Raines from save a fox has passed away

She ended her own life after receiving enough harassment that pushed her over the edge

Rest in peace Mikayla, the work that she did gave so many animals a chance that wouldn't have otherwise had one, and in the process brightened the lives of so many that had the privilege of seeing the animals of SaveAFox

like the whole reason Austin was fun and weird was it was affordable enough that people could work part time and do cool things, like join a trombone-only marching band or make art for a faire or start fun businesses that people enjoyed.

The slogan was started by a librarian to help support such small businesses and community events. Last I heard from Austin an affordable apartment complex was demolished for condos, with the advertising slogan "Keep it weird in Downtown Austin"
