✅The difference between beside and besides ..

📕The spelling difference between beside and besides is a small one, but their meanings and uses are quite different! BESIDE, with no “s” at the end, is used only as a preposition, which means there is always a noun following it. ... The first meaning, “next to,” is more common. She sat beside 
(= next to) him during dinner.

📕beside
یک حرف اضافه (preposition) و به معنی "کنار یا جنب چیزی/کسی" می باشد.

📘 سلام ، بیا کنارم بشین.

✅ The dog sat beside its owner’s grave and refused to leave.
📕 سگ در کنار قبر صاحبش نشست و حاضر نبود آنجا را ترک کند.

✅ ولی besides هم می تواند یک حرف اضافه باشد و هم یک قید (adverb). در حالت حرف اضافه، besides یعنی "علاوه بر این یا به غیر از" و معادل in addition to است.

📘 من بجز خانواده ام کسی را ندارم.

✅ I speak English besides my mother tongue.
📘 می‌تونم علاوه بر زبان مادریم، زبان انگلیسی هم صحبت کنم.

📕در حالت قید نیز besides می تواند معانی از این قبیل داشته باشد: "بعلاوه، از این گذشته" و معادل
furthermore، another thing و as well
است.
