✅ قاعدة : both و either و neither
تستخدم في اللغة الإنجليزية للإشارة إلى اختيارات أو مقارنات بين اثنين أو أكثر من العناصر.
وفيما يلي شرح لاستخدام كل من هذه الكلمات:

1- Both :
تستخدم both للإشارة إلى اثنين من العناصر أو المفاهيم التي تحدث في نفس الوقت أو تتعلق ببعضها البعض.
عند استخدام "both"، يجب أن يكون كل من العناصر موجودًا أو صحيحًا.
Ex:
- Both Sarah and John attended the meeting.
كلاً من سارة وجون حضرا الاجتماع
- Both the book and the movie are excellent.
كل من الكتاب والفيلم ممتازان
- We need to wash both the dishes and the utensils.
نحتاج إلى غسل كل من الأطباق والأدوات

2- Either :
تستخدم either للإشارة إلى اختيار واحد من بين اثنين، أو للتعبير عن احتمالية وجود خيارين.
Ex:
- You can either come with us or stay at home.
يمكنك إما القدوم معنا أو البقاء في المنزل
- You can choose either the blue shirt or the green one.
يمكنك اختيار إما القميص الأزرق أو الأخضر
- Either he is lying or you misunderstood him.
إما أنه يكذب أو أنت فهمته بشكل خاطئ

3 Neither :
تستخدم neither للإشارة إلى اثنين من العناصر أو المفاهيم للإشارة إلى عدم صحة كلاهما أو عدم وجود أي منهما.
Ex:
- Neither of the options is suitable for me.
لا أحد الخيارين مناسب لي
- Neither Tom nor Mary can solve the problem.
لا يستطيع كل من توم وماري حل المشكلة
- Neither the book nor the movie was interesting.
لا كان الكتاب ولا الفيلم مثيرًا للاهتمام

إضافة إلى الاستخدامات الأساسية التي وضحتها سابقًا، هناك استخدامات أخرى ممكنة لكلمات both و either و neither في سياقات مختلفة.

1- Both :

3- Neither :

لا أحد المرشحين كان مؤهلاً للمنصب
- Neither option is appealing to me.
لا أي خيار جذاب بالنسبة لي
- Neither the teacher nor the students understood the instructions.
لا استوعب كل من المعلم والطلاب التعليمات

يمكن استخدام either و neither في جملة واحدة عندما ترغب في التعبير عن خيارات محددة وأن لا شيء منها ينطبق.
Ex:
1- Neither of the options is suitable, so we'll have to find another solution.
لا أحد الخيارين مناسب، لذا سيتعين علينا إيجاد حل آخر

2- Either you help me with the project, or I'll have to find someone else to assist.
إما أن تساعدني في المشروع، أو سأضطر إلى البحث عن شخص آخر للمساعدة

3- Neither of the books interested me, so I left the bookstore empty-handed.
لا أحد الكتب أثار اهتمامي، لذا غادرت المكتبة دون شيء.

4- Either you pay the fine or face the consequences.
إما أن تدفع الغرامة أو تواجه العواقب

يمكن ايضا استخدام either و neither في جملة تتضمن أسماء مفردة.
Ex:
1- Neither book is available at the library.
لا كتاب متاح في المكتبة

2- Either candidate is qualified for the position.
إما المرشح المؤهل للمنصب.

3- Neither option is suitable for me.
لا أي خيار مناسب بالنسبة لي

4 Either movie is worth watching.
إما الفيلم الذي يستحق المشاهدة.

5- Neither student has completed the assignment.
لم ينجز أي طالب الواجب.

في هذه الأمثلة، يتم استخدام either و neither مع أسماء مفردة للتعبير عن الاختيارات المتاحة أو عن عدم صحة العنصرين المذكورين.

Ex:
1- Neither of the books is interesting.

في هذه الأمثلة، يتم استخدام either و neither مع الأفعال في صيغة المضارع التام للإشارة إلى حدوث أو عدم حدوث الفعل حتى الآن. يتطابق الفعل مثل: has أو have مع الضمير المستخدم مثل: of them أو of the options بناءً على توافق الضمائر.
