Syrian forces thwarted a comprehensive ISIS plan to seize control of neighborhoods in key cities starting from Homs. Intelligence from a cell arrested months ago revealed infiltration tactics from deserts and targets including Alawite, Murshidi, and Christian sacred sites—mirroring prior sectarian strategies. Security forces reinforced Homs after dismantling cells. The government intensifies counter-ISIS operations following the Mar Elias Church attack in Damascus.

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa during his meeting with dignitaries from Quneitra and the Golan:

📌 Some parties inside and outside Syria are trying to stir sectarianism, but the people are stronger than that.

📌 There were attempts to target a church and a Shia shrine at the same time.

📌 The people are too aware to fall into sectarian traps.

📌 Emotional statements can escalate tensions. Leaders must act wisely.

📌 Security forces caught the whole cell that targeted the church in less than 24 hours—despite limited resources.

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa during his meeting with dignitaries from Quneitra and the Golan:

📌 We reject the past where the president’s region ruled everything.

📌 The president belongs to all Syrians, and his region carries greater responsibility.

📌 We rose against the regime and ended 60 years of injustice and corruption.

📌 We hope this begins a new era for Syria and the region—a revolution of ethics, conduct, and prosperity.
German Chargé d'Affaires Clemens Haach commented on Syria’s anti-narcotics operations, “We support these efforts if they’re firm and consistent. The Assad regime used Captagon to fund repression—those practices must end. Our security cooperation has started and will continue.”
