The US announced its intention to reopen its embassy in Damascus and invited Syria’s Foreign Minister to Washington, signaling a potential step toward restoring diplomatic relations.
Directly supporting ISIS operations in Syria, the Bangladeshi Radical Militant Group (GMRB) was dismantled by Malaysian authorities. The group funded ISIS activities by collecting membership fees and contributions from Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia, transferring money abroad through e-wallets. Thirty-six members were arrested.

"Central Bank of Syria Governor confirms by President Al-Sharaa's order: No external debt, no borrowing from International Monetary Fund or World Bank, and no currency peg to dollar or euro. Syrian pound exchange rate has improved by thirty percent."
Amid extreme heat and winds, Syrian Civil Defense teams have been battling widespread forest fires for days, mainly in Latakia province. Today, a fire broke out near the People's Palace in Damascus. Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.

Syrian security forces arrested the pilot responsible for the last airstrike on Darat Izza in western Aleppo, which left civilian casualties.
